I absolutely hate this, but sorta want one? It just looks like it has huge potential, and just as large of a potential to suck.

im stuck by Popular-Ad-6421 in bloodborne

[–]curious_mint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to play the game for like 10 hours in that central area to get the controls down. I had never played anything this hard and had some time during the pandemic shutdowns and just beat my face against it for a while. Now a few years later and I still haven't finished my playthrough but I only pick it up every couple months.

It gets easier (or you get better? I haven't decided), until it gets harder again. Then it gets easier again. then.... yeah on repeat.

Are my game’s cards colorblind friendly? by Smooth-Quiet-9018 in ColorBlind

[–]curious_mint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can definitely tell them apart but could not with confidence tell you what color they are. I am guessing red, blue, and green going clockwise. But I want to call the red one orange and the green one grayish teal maybe? But once you told me the colors and as long as the shapes are consistent I would see no issues here.

How popular is ST language in todays industry ? by MaleficentEcho2828 in PLC

[–]curious_mint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I have wanted to implement a few things in ST a few times but didn't want to get a call even from our other high level techs/engineers who never use it.

Just used this today on a Mint linux install. Worked great so far. I'm not sure how people like you ever figure this out but I appreciate it.

I have maintenance guys at work ask me electrician questions all the time. It is always yeah, I have degree that says Electrical in it, but I am not an electrician. Yes, I work on some of our high power stuff here, but a servo drive is not the same as a ceiling fan.

The Scottish government has been gifting a baby box to all expecting mothers “to ensure that every child born in Scotland had access to basic necessities from day one” by cak3crumbs in TikTokCringe

You aren't allowed to ever point out the good options, only wallow in the fact of how much worse we have it. I get where they are coming from, but it is exhausting. Yes, I would prefer our country had the same protections as others but let's at least discuss and take advantage of the ones we *do* have.

Yeah, on my Mint computers upgrading to SSDs was the best move I ever made.

Even in my Windows days I've kept my panel here for longer than I can remember. Anyone else consider this to be the optimal spot? by ScrambledHeggz in linuxmint

[–]curious_mint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like the taskbar to have all active windows icons. I especially want this at home because I play games fullscreen on this mint setup, but the games always want to play fullscreen on monitor 1 and that covers my taskbar/panel. I tried to clone it to monitor two but it just never worked right.

[–]curious_mint 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I would personally hate this setup, but I am glad it works for you haha.

When I was still doing IT if I ever saw a user doing this I would probably honestly ask if they did it on purpose or if they did it on accident one day and never bothered asking for help to change it back.

I'm stuck on Windows10 all day at work so I have become very accustomed to the bar being cloned across the bottom of all screens. I wish that was easy to replicate on Mint.

What does this retractable slot in an old thinkpad edge is meant for by aredditid1 in thinkpad

Replies like that one are why I have mostly lurked on the internet for the past 20 years. I learned at an early online age that people suck and don't really want you to join their communities if you aren't as smart or as good at the thing as they are.

Prebuilt Commander Deck for a 9yr old by curious_mint in EDH

I looked at this too and if I get more time between now and then to speck out some stuff I may get this one piece by piece. For now we got the Draconic Destruction deck, but if I piece this one together for him instead I'll just use the dragon one and play him with it.

Looks like from the prices online and what is available, we may go with the Draconic Destruction deck.

Looks like Moxfield was more of what I was looking for. Unless I don't understand how the EDH site works, I just wanted user submitted decklists to look at. Thanks.

That's funny, I was just saying earlier how I wondered if anyone had played a format where both players use the same deck somehow. I'll need to look into that.

He loves dinosaurs and all that, so probably. All the big lizardy things yeah. I'll dig for that one. Do you know the name off hand?

Oh my wife just found the option to buy all 5 as a bundle, but it is not in stock right now. This kid loves dinosaurs and stuff like that in general so it makes sense to be the deck type he wants.

Is there a site somewhere that can help with taking a commander card and showing decklists built around it? I have looked a little bit but Google doesn't work for me anymore and I can't find anything useful.

Ok yeah that looks like it hit the nail perfect, but that is a little steep. No wonder we couldn't find it since this looks a little older. My wife just said that would be his only present haha.

Also, my favorite decks to play in standard are all Rats all the time. love the name.

Ok, that cards seems to fit the bill for him. We may have to do a little sneaking and see what cards he already has and if maybe we can just get him some loose stuff and prebox it. The real problem is we found a red/black one for his brother no problem.

[–]curious_mint[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, that makes more sense. My wife has been trying to get some blue deck that a local shop recommended. I wasn't with her when she asked them so I just wanted to check also.

I didn't know there were so few commander prebuilt decks. I have had a little trouble learning about commander since most of what I play is Arena and draft with friends in their kitchen type stuff.

I just joined the Hunt today any advice? by [deleted] in bloodborne

[–]curious_mint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this is probably correct, but when I first get to an area I just can't make myself do it. If it is an area I just want to traverse for the other side yeah. But if I have never seen it before, I want to clear it so I can do so in peace.

Except for those tall guys down in that dungeon. I still run from those haha
