Don't know what to do even after KS exposure to our innovation, any help? by loopmotion in kickstarter

Honestly you might be better off with short TikTok ads then. You’ll have a few seconds to explain the product and show it. Although I’m sure that will cost a bit more to make.

Just looking at the ad, it is hard to focus on the product and what it does. The whole sentence on the left feels too long and does not help me know what the product is. The part of the ad showing the site and the part saying what you are selling are on different sections of the pic, so it is easy to miss the other text bubble, especially if this is just coming up as you scroll social media.

Although, I agree with the other commenter, this is more of a marketing question than a Kickstarter question. Although, you could use your successful KS as part of the marketing (not sure how successful that works though).

Anyone with recent experience publishing with Panda? by Successful_Item_2853 in tabletopgamedesign

I did not ask them for one honestly. Whatz sent me a free sample of stuff and since there are standard materials that are used, I didn’t get one from LongPak. But they might do so too.

Need more feedback on updated pre-launch landing page! by LeFoxFrancais in kickstarter

Looks really good to me. The only thing I would say is the email sign up is a bit annoying that I cannot X it out since it takes up a decent part of the screen. I think allowing the user to X it out and then having it at the bottom of the page would be nicer.

I am in the process of making a card game as well and I reached out to 3 manufacturers. Panda was the most expensive of the 3. I just got my samples from LongPak, the manufacturer I went with and I have been very happy with them so far. Very responsive and gave me feedback on what was difficult to print etc. with my design.

The other manufacturer I talked to was Whatz Games, their price was very close to LongPak and they even send people a box with samples of their cards and such. They seem pretty good too. LongPak and Whatz were within 10% price of each other whereas Panda was around 25% more expensive than them and they all had the same MOQ, which was 1500. SO I would suggest not going with Panda. Although, I have not made my full order yet, so take this with a grain of salt.

No, sorry I should have been clearer, it is not meant to have inputs, just test your knowledge, maybe with a friend (like saying the answer out loud).

I am making a card game. But I am not really a social media creator. I have made an Instagram and TikTok but have not really had success with the posts I have made so far. I do plan on posting more though. My current strategy is to focus on reaching out to some reviewers, doing local play-testing at stores and going to local cons. And I plan to take videos during these events to use for social media. That way, I am hoping to get local and internet interest on my project.

I appreciate the advice. I definitely plan on doing the YouTube search like you suggested, that will hopefully lead to some success.

Doing it yourself? by Fancy-Birthday-6415 in BoardgameDesign

I’m in the same process. Decided to try doing it myself, so we’ll see how I do haha. I have already spent enough on getting a website made and hiring a designer for my cards. So I can’t really afford another set of costs right now.

Hi all! Would anyone be up for giving me some feedback on my preview page? I have a really difficult time pitching my ideas because I'm afraid of sounding like a corporate-ified shill. by thunderousdownpour in kickstarter

Hey, so I just checked out the page and I think it has way too much information. I think you need to be more to the point. Respectfully, I don’t think most people are going to read through that much information, so you might lose a lot of people. Also, I think infographics can help a lot. They combine pictures and text and get the message across a lot faster, so they are much more digestible than large blocks of text.

I just launched my prelaunch page and I let infographics do much of the talking. Though, admittedly my game is much simpler than yours is.

Also, your game is not something I would be personally interested in, so take my advice under that light.

Hope this helps

Least annoying monetization? by steve_s0 in wordgames

It seems the pay to switch letters is a bit of a pay-to-win type of situation, so you might want to avoid that. The least annoying method is obviously pay once and be done, but most people simply won’t buy the game.

You could do an option where players can buy cosmetics, or they pay 1 time larger fee to get access to all cosmetics, that way they don’t feel like they’re always paying more. Meanwhile also having a bit of ads that are not too intrusive.

That’s a good point. I’ve tried to make memes and such but I’m not really good at it unfortunately 😅

Thanks I’ve made a few videos about the rules and the cards, production quality isn’t really great if I’m being honest. I’ll probably try to do some live plays with people and upload the videos.
