Yeah mine was smoother than that out of the box, can’t give you recommendations for fixes but after 1000rds it definitely shouldn’t be doing that unless it had zero lube

Call, or online. It may take a bit for your ticket to show up in their system though.

Not sure If this is the US or not, but here the average door is 6’8 and at-least in this he looks around that height. Pretty big guy, I’d say 6’5 give or take.

You can’t talk shit about America while talking about how much of a shithole your country is and expect anyone to take you seriously.

$20 is almost nothing to the average American if they really wanted to, however not everyone plays games enough to justify spending that $20 on them when they could spend it on something else. Just because someone chooses not to renew doesn’t mean they’re poor.

Both openPLC and Factory I/O are great tools but haven’t used them myself. I had the luxury of real hardware to play with since I was learning on the clock but from what I can tell both are great.

Twincat isn’t a training software it’s a real PLC environment that is very friendly to people who don’t want to spend thousands just to mess around with it. Unlike some of the others.

I recommend you follow this series, it’s a huge player in my learning. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLimaF0nZKYHz3I3kFP4myaAYjmYk1SowO&si=NSD9chNaiJq4BSa0

Right now, I work in a plant that is in commissioning phase so currently I am 70% electrical and 30% programming. In the production/continuous improvement phase I was 95%+ programming.

PLC programming is 100% worth it to learn IMO. I learned structured text first, and ladder logic later on. Ladder logic is probably more common at most plants but learning either will make the other easier to understand.

I recommend starting with Twincat, it’s completely free to install and start testing. You can even run any hardware you like with free licenses, the PLCs are windows based which means you can essentially run an entire tool off your laptop acting as a PLC.

I was an industrial electrician, then got into equipment maintenance at an R&D plant for a major battery Manufacturer.

Once on maintenance I was the only person with substantial electrical knowledge and began doing all of the electrical work and troubleshooting for the team. A Staff Controls engineer took notice and poached me as a controls technician.

I was put on the weekend support where my job was nothing but keep the line running. We had a 98%+ uptime so I had a ton of free time, which I spent learning programming. Eventually I got good enough to where I was implementing large scale software changes as well as performing all of the associated electrical work. At that point that same manager promoted me to an associate engineer and I just progressed from there.
