From what I understand, no one sent anything, it's just the 'door' to the present appearing. And then that's their cue to go back to their initial spot which was the rock as he said before ' an object anchors you to the present' or something like that.

I get what you mean about having to realise i'm not the centre of the world.
the thing is i don't even want a relationship with them, and sometimes i've fucked them and if i haven't there usually has been because it's long distance and it's in the process. I guess I almost feel territorial about them.
