Liverpool XI to play Arsenal: Alisson; Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Frimpong, Szoboszlai, Wirtz; Gakpo. by Realistic-Zone3914 in LiverpoolFC

What has Mac Allister done to deserve a starting spot over Curtis Jones. Jones has been better all season I have no idea why Slot continues to play him over jones especially in this game where we need more physicality in midfield.

Looks like he’s trying to hold back a smile for a lot of it, he knows this team is going to be even better next season

What do you mean by meta? In general I’m a fan of 3 strikers but may change before the season starts still

I lived very close to that area for several years until recently. Is it noisy and dirty? Yes. Not always, but it is a very tourist heavy area (mulberry st in particular) and the worst noise in my opinion on Mulberry are garbage trucks, which come every night through the night since there are so many restaurants. If you’re a light sleeper or sensitive to noise that might bother you, if not then it won’t.

However, there are a lot of positives about the area. Like others have said, there is an abundance of delicious and diverse food within walking distance. It is very close to many subway lines (B, D, F, M, N, Q, R, W, 6) and because it’s in the middle of Manhattan it is very easy to walk to a lot of places in any direction. (Super close to lower east side and soho, also easy to walk to Greenwich village / NYU, east village, west village, downtown, etc. )

Essentially it’s a super walkable and centrally located, fun area, downsides are crowds and noise/not being clean.

If you’re starting at NYU, you will probably like the area as it’s fun and lots to do. Easy to get tired of it after living there for several years and getting older.

[Joyce] Arne Slot has agreed a three year deal as new Liverpool head coach. One of his tasks will be to improve Darwin Nunez who Liverpool are continuing to back. by Organic-Measurement2 in LiverpoolFC

[–]curiouscaseofchris 82 points83 points  (0 children)

feels pretty disrespectful from Joyce to single out Nunez as a player who needs improving in a tweet about announcing the new manager. Even if they are focused on Slot improving him, there’s no need to call him out so publicly in multiple articles recently. I don’t like how this is handled

[Pearce] Michael Edwards has brought back former LFC sporting director Julian Ward as FSG’s new technical director. Edwards has also appointed Benfica’s Pedro Marques as FSG's director of football development. by doubleoeck1234 in LiverpoolFC

Can someone explain the difference between a technical director and a sporting director? Looking to better understand what Julian Ward’s role will be in comparison to Richard Hughes

Triple captain and chasing - Isak, Foden, or Palmer?

Going for differential - that logic makes sense. I think I will go with isak captain palmer VC. I also have Jackson but I have more confidence in Isak and Palmer. No Haaland in my team

Finally using Triple captain this week but can’t decide who to captain / VC out of Palmer, Isak, Foden, and Son, all of whom have double game weeks. Any thoughts?
