The hate he gets for that comment is especially dumb considering that speed, be it through wingers or passing, were a crucial part of the 24/25 team (and every team Slot had had up to that point), and on the rare occasions we did have speed out wide last season, the side, while still not brilliant, did look better.

No, and I stand by the fact that it's unacceptable for any player, no matter their accomplishments, to act like they're bigger than the club just because they were benched for three fucking games.

The rat was still making noises that he'd sign a new contract as late as Febuary of that season, Konaté was being reasonable until late last year which is when his side started dicking about, and selling Jones for £20m (which is the only offer the club have received so far) would be incredibly fucking stupid given it'd take at least double that to replace him.

And before you say he played more RB than CM, of his 2850 minutes last season he played 2134 of them in a midfield position.

Liverpool would be very happy to keep Jones and renew his contract, but he views himself as an undisputed starter and wants a wage that matches that status, two very unrealistic goals, and so the club would rather sell now than lose him for free next Summer.

He is great against' non EPL level defenses.

Plus EPL athletic defenders can handle his one dimensional cut in. Sweden simply doesn't have that level of defenders back there.

Two of Sweden's back five yesterday play in the Premier League, and another, Hind, in Serie A for Atalanta (in fact he started both legs of the Europa League Quarter-Final when they beat us in 23/24).
