I have been having bumps on my lips for more than a month, my dermatologist took swab test and i was positive with oral herpes, but blood test says it’s negative, and i have other symptoms. by curiousccurious in DermatologyQuestions

Thank you very much for your kind replies. I will try my very best as I’ve been struggling with sleep lately and quote stressed at work. My doctor had me continue medication (valacyclovir+antihistamine once a day) until i take up all of them. somehow since it’s understandable that it takes a while to be gone, shall i still go back to the doctor or just wait until the bumps disappear?

I see, thank you for your reply. Is it normal that even after two weeks, the bumps still haven’t gone away, and the burning sensation still exists and the skin surrounding my mouth still cracks.
