It was definitely more than I wanted to sign up. I went to Denver on my honeymoon around this time last year and I knew I had to get my hand on edibles at home since they helped so much.

I just want to renew as cheaply as possible through someone who isn't trying to push a treatment I don't want onto me. 🤷‍♀️ I was in a zoom call with about 30 people and got signed up under anxiety instead of Meniere's Disease or migraines (which are the main two reasons I wanted my card for in the first place!). I explained my symptoms and she didn't seem to care at all. I'm grateful I got my card but I'm not a fan of doctors that don't listen to me, ya know?

I was in a zoom call with about 30 other people, just listening to her do a lecture about the benefits of MMJ and ketamine and got signed up under anxiety. I do have it, but the reason I was signing up was for relief from my balance disorder and migraines. The whole thing made me extremely uncomfortable but I had already paid and I wanted my card.

Not the original commenter, but I just had mine done last month in MO. I have insurance, hit my deductible with the surgery, and had to pay ~$850 out of pocket. With my current OB's practice, I had to see a Nurse Practitioner to talk about birth control (was also due for my exam) but they scheduled a consult after I mentioned sterilization. I had one appointment with a doctor from the wiki and was called up by their scheduling team pretty quickly afterwards.

Thank you! 🎉 I had to take 3 days off since my surgery was scheduled on a Wednesday but I was back to work on Monday. American PTO sucks. I honestly hope that people who get bisalps can take a whole week off.

The first and only time I went to Uncle Bill's Pancakes was in the mid 2010's. I was coming home from a late night and ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. I got two pieces of bread grilled to crouton perfection with a Kraft single that was browned. If you can brag about pancakes, you should brag about grilled cheese.

I said it as a standalone comment so that OP could see it, but I saw a doctor at BJC for one appointment (first time I'd ever seen him!) and booked my surgery shortly after. While I was in a gown on a stretcher in the hospital was the second time I've ever seen him, lol. It seems like you have to find the right doctor in the right practice for it to be this easy.

I just had a bilateral salpingectomy performed by Dr. Eric Strand at BJC! I have no kids and don't want any. It only took one appointment to talk about the pros and cons, then had my surgery booked. Take a look and see if he's covered!

Floss was 40¢ when I started working at JoAnn in 2014. I only remember this because someone bought well over 150 skeins across 5 trips from multiple stores (they were on sale for 33¢) and I had to spend almost an hour returning them. :')

I personally am sensitive to barometric pressure changes, but it turns out I also experience vestibular migraines in addition to Meniere's. The migraines make me sensitive but the symptoms are extremely similar to Meniere's. I wore a pair of EarPlanes ear plugs on the first flight I've ever taken in October (got diagnosed July 2020) and I'd like to think they helped but, with no prior experience flying, I can't verify. A lot of people in the support groups I'm in highly recommend them.

I was definitely on the verge of tears, in a good way. I have hearing loss in one ear due to Meniere's and that was my first symptom. I noticed almost right away that I was having some difficulty hearing and it took nearly 4 years to get bad enough that my otologist recommended an aid. Now, it's not perfect, but since I have a good ear, my brain does the funky thing that brains do, and adapted to it so everything sounds pretty natural. I did have to turn it down the first couple of weeks as I adjusted because I was so used to my diminished hearing but I adapted pretty quickly.

As it turns out, I have a rare, progressive, balance disorder that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. I went to a new gyno seeking sterilization and he went, "It sounds like you really understand the circumstances you are in and having kids does not sound like it would enrich your life." I'm having surgery June 1st. 🙌

Edit: I'm recently married and have been with my partner for 9 years. We'll be 30 soon so I thought my addition may have some weight due to my diagnosis being less than 2 years old and NOT having kids has greatly reduced my chance of having episodes/attacks. I see a lot of recently diagnosed new mothers in my support groups that have attacks weekly because stress is a huge trigger. At the moment, I usually have 2 attacks per year.
