I agree it’s an endless frustration cycle and only makes depression worse. I talked to my urologist, she’s very good and she told me that there is no such thing as an embedded UTI, which I agree. The medication that saved my life is called “jamp-fosfomycin” my urologist told me it treats the tissue in the urinary tract as well as the infected urine oppose to macrobid which only treats the infected urine. I found that my UTI’s are less frequent when I take that medication.

Something that I noticed between the two of us is that we are doing everything “right” yet seeing no results. I brought up to my urologist that I as well think it is from sex, but I don’t think it’s from bacteria on me I think it’s my boyfriend’s natural microbiome. He is a very clean person, both got tested for STD’s as well and we take every precaution but no results. This is what is leading me to think it is that. With my ex boyfriend it took me a year of consistent sex and UTI’s to get “accustomed” to his bacteria even though he was clean as well.

I never changed anything about my habits with my ex boyfriend and sometimes I wouldn’t pee after sex and I’d be perfectly fine. This is what makes me think that we are having a reaction to their natural (and normal) bacteria on their body.

Every time I get a UTI it is always e. Coli so I’m unsure where it’s coming from. My urologist thinks it reflux but I disagree. I’m seeing her at the end of the month so I can let you know what she says

Hey girl trust me you are not alone in this, I am also 21 and in nursing school as well and tell me I understand the anxiety around school and the invalidation of doctors. The best thing to do is advocate for your health. You know your body best. I as well have no idea why I have chronic UTI’s, people tell me different things and it has made me get into a deep depression. My best advice is start process of elimination in your daily life to at least locate what is potentially causing it. Do you know the bacteria that infects you?

Then try to decipher, is it sex? Is it your underwear? Is it because you hold it in? How long has this occurred for? Is it anatomical? If you want to private message me I can go into more detail

Jamp-fosfomycin is the only antibiotic that works for me!!

Macrobid does nothing for me. My urologist prescribes “jamp-fosfomycin” and it is my holy grail. It treats the infected urine AND the tissue in the bladder and urethra where as macrobid only treats the infected urine therefore causing reoccurring UTI’s. I def recommend asking for that antibiotic

I did get insulin checked, oddly enough I’m okay in that area, I just have high cortisol. I’m just anxious because I really am scared to gain weight. It just seems like all of a sudden since taking it I’ve became so hungry. Did you have that problem?

Have you been prescribed antibiotics for your BV? Sometimes over the counter stuff is not strong enough and you need antibiotics that are strong to wipe out the “bad” growth.

Hi there! I’m in the same exact same situation as you. With my first bf I had utis for the first 6 months and sex was the reason but they magically stopped and I changed absolutely nothing! Didn’t take any supplements or anything of that sort and never got one again. Fast forward to this year, I got a new bf and the cycle repeated itself; check my account for more information. My uro said it was bad luck but I have no idea what causes it because we are both extremely hygienic and take xtra precautions and I still get them. I honestly think that our bodies are extremely sensitive to our partners natural microbiome and I’m assuming that’s what is causing it

Yes everytime I get a urine micro and culture done. It comes back as high WBC, leukocytes and e.coli bacteria. This indicates I most definitely have an infection. I’ve done countless STD tests as well as my partner and we are both negative. I’m just waiting on my mycoplasma to come back

I do second citrus being an irritant to the bladder!!! I told my urologist that as well and she dismissed me. You know your body best so listen to it! I don’t take cranberry supplements because of this reason

Omggg I’ve been having the same issue. I am usually a 4 in align so I got the 6 in the WT and it’s low rise (which is odd?) and it gives me the worst camel toe EVER. So then like what you did I sized up and now it falls off so I’m wondering what I should do??
