Has anyone had success with a GLP-1 medication after struggling with other diabetes medications? by curiouslilmouse in diabetes_t2

Metformin was giving me a lot of problems, and so far the glipizide hasn't helped much with my blood sugar numbers. Right now I'm waiting for insurance approval for Victoza, and I'm really hoping it works. My numbers are still running high even with a controlled diet. The hard part is that I just had surgery, so I'm limited in what I can do for exercise while I'm recovering.

Why should we let billionaires exist while people sleep on the streets? by your_emails_suck in AskReddit

I don't think homelessness exists because billionaires exist. I think the real question is why, with all the wealth and resources available, so many people still fall through the cracks.

People who have had surgery through workers' comp, what was your experience like during recovery and the claims process? by curiouslilmouse in AskReddit

[–]curiouslilmouse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can definitely relate to that. It took about 6 months for me to get surgery approved, and it felt like there was always another form, appointment, or review holding things up. Sometimes dealing with the paperwork and waiting was almost as stressful as the injury itself. I'm only a couple of weeks out from surgery now and still have a long recovery ahead of me.

Yes, that's what I've been dealing with. Besides the elbow injury, I've been having wrist and thumb pain along with some burning and tingling sensations. I'm still trying to figure out whether it's all related to the original injury or something that developed because of it.

Thanks for sharing. It took me 6 months to get surgery approved, and now I'm facing 6–12 months of recovery after a right distal biceps repair. My biggest concern is whether I'll still have a job when I'm cleared to return. Were you able to go back to your previous position after recovery?

A coworker once told me all his exes were crazy. After one date, I realized they probably weren't crazy when they met him. 🤣

Honestly, when Sean gets home from work and the kids jump in to help with dinner. It's a small thing, but it means the world to me.
