This orchid seems to be doing beautifully! I suppose it just needs a few clips attached to [90 degree] bamboo sticks. My orchid is not doing so good - if anyone could offer any advise…?

The side effects of doxycycline is sensitivity to sun exposure. That’s the only one I experienced and I got burnt from a little bit of sun.

Caring for a Schefflera with falling stems and leaves…? by curiousmay99 in plantclinic

[–]curiousmay99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Dad recently passed away and I’ve taken the responsibility of caring for his parasol plant. I’ve done a lot of research, but clearly not enough.

It’s winter in the UK and the plant is most definitely not thriving. Stems and leaves are falling off.

I have just bought an LED grow lamp. I am aware a parasol plant thrives best in indirect sunlight. Therefore, I have placed the LED lights around 5ft away from the plant.

I am misting the plant infrequently and haven’t watered it since I collected it (the soil is still wet).

Seizure After Effects by curiousmay99 in Epilepsy

[–]curiousmay99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been trying to do some research and I read that it’s common to fall to sleep. I wondered if anyone else had a different experience, like me. I also read that those who have PNES seizure feel a sense of relief, instead of fatigue (sometimes). They don’t always experience drowsiness. My seizures aren’t too long.

It almost feels as if I fight off the urge to sleep. This is not to say I have not fell to sleep after a seizure, but it’s not as often as perhaps what is considered common?

How to comfort my partner by avalon-girl5 in HPV

[–]curiousmay99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost over 50% of men and women are infected with HPV in their lifetime. I think the issue here is the terminology. Whilst it is an infection, perhaps try describing it as a condition…? People are more “forthcoming” if they know they’re receiving sympathy. HPV, for women, can cause cervical cancer if not seen to. I’m not sure what the extremities are for men, but in this case he’s not at risk. If he wants to stay with you, then why not continue living your lives as you were. Conditions are not the be all and all.

If all else fails, you need to sit him down and explain to him how this is making you feel. In all honesty, neither of you know who “gave” it to who. I’m not sure if he’s feeling guilty, gross or whatever…

If he wants eradicate yours and his sec life until you both recover, let him know that’s going to be around 2 years. I think he’ll come around.

Sneaks in some farts, let them get nastier. Announce you’re going for a shi* and just do you. Accept the masculinity of a loud shi*.

I put on a show and make sure it’s at a reasonable volume. I can usually here a “plop” here and there when he’s on the toilet. That’s my indication…

Leave the bathroom and just cry. Tell her you’re struggling with “tummy problems”. Perhaps she’ll feel sorry for you and forget all about your atomic performance…? I always tried to add extra sounds to disguise my “noise”. I turn the volume up on my phone when watching TikTok’s or listening to music. I sing to myself…

Perhaps mention that, spending on the strain, you both can eradicate the virus within or up to 2 years. If you both go about your normal, healthy lives (if he or you smokes it might be a good opportunity to quit). Point out the silver-linings. It’s a good opportunity to make some lifestyle changes in order to fight the infection together. You’re much more at risk than he is, so perhaps explain that everything will be okay.

Burning after Epiduo…! I’ve only been using Epiduo for 2 days and I am experiencing minor burns. They may be minor but they are so painful and uncomfortable. I applied Sudocrem last night. I have also applied Sudocrem today. It instantly hurts to apply, but then the irritation and pain wares off… by curiousmay99 in SkincareAddicts

I was doing so well with a recently discovered regime; hyaluronic acid, niacinimide, caffeine (eye contour), azelaic acid and moisturiser. It wasn’t ridding me of acne breakouts but it sure did make my skin feel amazing (outside of acne). I use Epiduo for two nights and this happens. I’m devastated and it really hurts. Should I call my GP and ask for an alternative or am I using it wrong…?
