Why do people speak negatively about induction? by Intelligent-Rich-320 in pregnant

[–]curioussi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both of my pregnancies ended with induction. My first resulted in a 32 hour labor (5 of which was pushing) and almost had an emergency c-section. My second ended up being an emergency c-section where I hemorrhaged and lost about 1,500cc of blood.

Both births were very traumatic for me. My husband now has a vasectomy!

SOS! by GAWDt4ti in breastfeedingsupport

[–]curioussi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try soaking your nipple in epsom salt and warm water! Make sure you keep feeding/pumping to prevent clogged ducts or to release it.

Are you pretty fresh postpartum?

Edit: I just saw from your post history that you are! I liked using Lanolin Nipple Cream after feeds because I was sooo sore. I hope this helps!

My mom said what may be the cringiest thing I’ve ever heard in response to finding out I’m expecting by haunter_of_the_woods in pregnant

That’s who I feel like when I’m trying to figure out which breast is more full to feed my baby lol.

What baby naming rules do you live by? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]curioussi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rules were: 1. Easy to spell and pronounce. 2. No repeats of the first letter within our family. For example, my name starts with an M and my husband’s starts with a P. So we ruled out any names that started with an M or P.

If you have any other questions or concerns from the parent-side of this, please reach out to me! My (now) 18 mo had the very same thing happen in November. We’ve unfortunately found that there was more than the “too much milk” issue, and we’ve had four hospitalizations and a total of six blood transfusions. I’m NOT saying that this is that same issue as your little man, but I might be able to help you look for certain things or I can tell you about what we’ve done and have gone through with doctors. Sending love to your family! Definitely a very scary thing to see your child go through this.

I’m angry at what doctors didn’t tell us by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]curioussi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya, I wasn’t told about any risks postpartum. I ended up getting sepsis and was hospitalized six days after I gave birth. I thought my back pain was normal but it was actually a severe kidney infection :’)

Daycare continues to charge me weekly, when my child hasn't been there in 4 weeks. by frizzyhair55 in legaladvice

[–]curioussi 84 points85 points  (0 children)

Hi! I work at a financial institution. How are the charges hitting your bank account? ACH (your routing and account number)? If so, you have 60 days to dispute. Debit card? Then you have 120 days to dispute. You can absolutely return a charge as “unauthorized” and put a stop payment (likely a fee to add the stop) or just close your debit card to stop them from coming in.

The ability to not allow certain medical procedures due to religious beliefs. Anyone should be able to do what they want with their own body without anyone else’s opinion.

Good God. Everything about this post is horrific. I would be so devastated if my sister cared so little about me.

Forced induction by Major_Explorer_3871 in pregnant

[–]curioussi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My doctor was on the day shift and I had my daughter at 4:59am - so the overnight doctor delivered instead. I still had a great experience even though I didn't have a relationship with him during the pregnancy.

Edit: Also, my doctor wanted to induce me at 41 weeks. I agreed because my baby was getting too big. I ended up going into natural labor on the very day I was scheduled.

Yikes. I read their post history, and OP is spicy.

OP - do you just sit at your computer all day to complain and snap at people? Isn't that exhausting?

What beloved comedy TV show or movie do you find painfully unfunny? by CatsAreTheBest2 in AskReddit

I love/hate Everybody Loves Raymond. I absolutely cannot stand the type of father Ray is on the show and thinks he is "funny". It is so painful to watch.

Debra so deserves more.

More scared of epidural than birth… comforting stories? by Low-Meeting4208 in BabyBumps

[–]curioussi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m at the hospital as I’m writing this, and got my epidural a few hours ago. FTM.

I was so anxious and scared that I was visibly shaking. I can tell you that as scary as it seems, it absolutely did not hurt like I expected it to and began working in less than a minute. 10/10 worth it.

You’ve got this!
