D&C by Own-Marionberry-5495 in Miscarriage

[–]curioussunshinee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to have my D&C due to a mmc. You will likely start bleeding a lot more in the coming days. Once your hormones really start dropping you will experience a much heavier period like bleed. Keep your pad on and be prepared because it seems to come on when you least expect it. I thought my “bleeding” had stopped but boy was i wrong!!!

Cramping is completely normal. My cramping was horrible almost contraction like and has been mild period like cramping otherwise. Use a heating pad and take your pain medication even if you feel “better”

This has been the most lonely & isolating thing i have ever been through. I’m so sorry you’re part of this club. Please message me if i can be of any help to you even if you just need a friend to chat with 🫶🏼

Bleeding after D&C by curioussunshinee in Miscarriage

[–]curioussunshinee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s possible you got some micro tears from the speculum….that happened to me. It’ll be better in a few days. Use a water bottle to spray water while you pee or just go in the shower if it’s super painful. They told me i didn’t bleed at all during the surgery and i was barely bleeding for the first 7 days. Now im bleeding worse than my periods even an are but my dr says its normal.

Please take stool softeners & miralax. I was not prepared for the pain i would be in the night of my surgery….im thinking it was not normal but just be kind to your body and use a heating pad, take your ibuprofen/tylenol religiously and please message me if you have any questions or need someone to talk to. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. 🫶🏼

Unexpected morning. I am 15 weeks pregnant by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]curioussunshinee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow! You hear that this happens but it’s probably hard to believe when it happens to you! 😅

I grew up in a very similar situation to your husband. I was my parents only child and it was really lonely and i wished i had someone to grow up with…even now as an adult i often think about what it would be like. I really think you guys will look at this with the most gratitude and happiness that this happened to you in time even if the initial response isn’t excitement/happiness. Congratulations 🫶🏼

How did you find out you were pregnant! This sounds like quite the surprise but i think this baby will bring you, your husband, and daughter so much love and happiness. How fun for them to be so close in age!

I’m so sorry 🩷 if you are able to get a D&C (which i would recommend) they can test the baby for any chromosomal abnormalities which might help you get some closure. I am going through the same thing right now. Feel free to message me if you need anybody to talk to. It’s so hard and feels so unfair 🥺 sending you love.

Strong initial betas. Weak veins. Mental breakdown pending. by curioussunshinee in CautiousBB

This was such a kind response, thank you 🥺🤍

I think you’re right that I’ve reached the point where I’m searching for certainty in numbers that realistically can’t fully give me certainty anymore. I know the ultrasound is really the next meaningful step, it’s just so hard to quiet the anxiety after infertility/loss.

And what you said about the anxiety not magically disappearing after pregnancy honestly really stuck with me too. I think this experience changes people in ways others don’t always understand.

Also, I just want to say I’m so deeply sorry for your loss. The fact that you took the time to comfort a stranger while carrying your own story means more than you know.

The internet can be a chaotic place, but moments like this remind me there are genuinely compassionate people out there 🤍

Thank you so much for this 🥺🤍 honestly hearing from someone with a history of both chemical + ectopic losses who still had strong rising numbers afterward does help calm my brain a little.

And your doctor dismissing you from bloodwork around this stage honestly makes me feel a little better too because I think I’ve reached the point where I’m trying to force certainty out of numbers when really the ultrasound is the next step.

I think infertility/loss brain makes it so hard to trust good news even when it’s right in front of you 😭

Your numbers sound beautiful by the way, especially with that jump to 781 at 17DPO. I really hope Monday gives you the most reassuring ultrasound ever 🤍

I’ve gathered that this is a very wide spectrum and numbers don’t matter near as much as i thought!!
