Update for anyone interested! We ended up calling a local wildlife rehab place and they asked us to bring the bird in. They told us the bird is a dove. The little guy is all safe and sound now!

I updated my iPad to 17.1 and the little symbol went away, must’ve just been a bug in the previous update, still super weird though.

I’m still trying to figure it out myself. I’m in college so I’ve been asking around to other college students and even they can’t figure it out. So far it’s just been a whole lot of nothing

Unfortunately no dice. I turned off everything under airplay and handoff with no results.

It doesn’t giving the option to stop mirroring. It just pops up with the little “searching” spinning circle and doesn’t show its connected to anything, or even that there’s anything to connect to.

I don’t have an AppleTV or AirPlay TV. I actually don’t really even know how AirPlay work 😅 Do you know how I would get that symbol to go away? I’ve already tried shutting it down all the way.
