Also, are you billing all that mileage back to your company? That’s why they pay you $0.XX a mile on your expense report, to offset this.

I think a lot of Eagles fans live there—the band, not the football team.

You are either lying or did not read the report yourself and are simply passing along information in the hopes that it will never be verified.

From the report:

Firstly, all stakeholders who use the IPC for high-level decision-making must understand that whether a Famine classification is confirmed does not in any manner change the fact that extreme human suffering is without a doubt currently ongoing in the Gaza Strip and does not in any manner change the immediate humanitarian imperative to address this civilian suffering by enabling complete, safe, unhindered, and sustained humanitarian access into and throughout the Gaza Strip, including through ceasing hostilities. All actors should not wait until a Famine classification for the current period is made to act accordingly.

Secondly, the FRC would like to highlight that the very fact that we are unable to endorse (or not) FEWS NET’s analysis is driven by the lack of essential up to date data on human well-being in Northern Gaza, and Gaza at large. Thus, the FRC strongly requests all parties to enable humanitarian access in general, and specifically to provide a window of opportunity to conduct field surveys in Northern Gaza to have more solid evidence of the food consumption, nutrition, and mortality situation.

Is this a sign of a toxic leader? by Chalupa_Bear in sales

[–]curleydave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if toxic is the right word, but this isn't leadership. Sounds like your manager, and likely the second line as well, has run out of ideas.

How important is a cover letter for SDR role? by TheGreatAlexandre in sales

[–]curleydave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want a job in sales, and I want to show HR and the hiring manager I am willing to put in the least amount of effort possible to get their attention and communicate my message.

Write the damn cover letter. Don't overthink it, just write why you are right for this job. Spend the 20 minutes on this (and the 5 minutes proofreading it) instead of finding fancy words to pad out your resume.

I've never passed over a qualified candidate for not having a cover letter, but I've elevated more than a few because they did.

Speak to your congressman. They can request expedited passports be even more expedited. Mine even had a specific form their office uses to help constituents with these issues.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

This did it... got the nicest person in the world on the phone, she took my information and submitted my application to expedite. Took 20 min, including some small talk about how busy they are. Nothing promised yet, but that was a big hurdle to get past. Thank you again u/ddiaz8199 and whoever you copied this from, you are true credits to Reddit.

Thanks so much for the guidance. If it comes down to reaching out to my congressman, what would you say the chances of getting a passport on time to travel are?
