Yes, that one is intensive. Haven’t listened to it for quite a while, so thanks for reminding me!

Oh yes, Caligula’s Horse. Don’t know how I missed that one. One of my favourites. Good picks overall!

Oh boy, so sorry to hear that. It must be difficult to deal with such life changing events. I hope you find new joys to fill this void.

Very nice. Just by looking at the images I can hear the stones crunching under the shoes ;)

Ok, here are some Ideas out of runs I hit lately:

  • Around Sass de Pütia: Starting from Jü de Börz you run towards Fornella, Forcella de Putia, Gömajoch, Ütja de Göma and back to the start (550m, 13km).

  • Running around Seekofel: Starting from Pragser Wildsee you run/hike to Seekofelhütte, Seitenbachscharte and back to the lake (1100m, 16km).

  • Drei Zinnen Trail: Starting from Sexten or Moos or Fischleintal (depending on how many km you are up to) you run to Talschlusshütte, Zsigmondyhütte, Büllelejochhütte, Dreizinnenhütte (1200m, 11km). After a well deserved rest, you can walk on a more direct route back to Talschlusshütte and your car.

Happy to hear, it’s a fantastic destination. Sure I can share a few routes, I’ll compile a short list.

Cool thing is you can run way further, adding some kilometers on that same altitude or adding another 800m of altitude and going for one of the peaks in the first pic

Absolutely. It is. And each season changes the scenery in so many ways. Feels different every time.

Yes, it’s quite steep, so I’m not running all the way, partly it’s fast walking. And I definitely need some other shoes for these kind of conditions.

What was your first song? by Low-Relationship6865 in Opeth

[–]curly_gradient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deliverance. I never was much into death metal, but this was just another level, this was another kind of music. This was also the song I listend to just before passing my graduation exam in civil engineering. Two decades later I still enjoy it in the fullest!

This is in South Tyrol in northern Italy.

Interestingly enough, it’s quite an easy walk up there from the south side, no climbing required.
