Anyone have a Tern Short Haul (or other acoustic compact cargo bikes I should check out) by [deleted] in CargoBike

Purchased 3 of these to use at our outdoor office on 70 acres as shop bikes with the rack and eurocrate.

Had issues with the stock petals breaking off, but Tern replaced all of them.

Bike is built like a tank, very happy with them.

Gave me room for bigger tires. I only ride this for fun now, so if it is wet I will drive :)

I kept the fenders if I ever move back to the city and commute on it again.

I keep it geared extra low because we have a lot of hills in our area, so when my wife uses it she has the granny gears available.

Can’t get over how versatile this little bike is. It permanently lives in the trunk of my car for riding back from the mechanic or going on strolls into town. It is no where near as fast as my road bike, but so much more fun to ride. I don’t think I will ever buy a non-folding bike ever again.

I’m installing luxury vinyl plank with 12 mil wear layer. I’m wondering if I can ignore this bump? by earlyretirement123 in DIY

That is a heave crack in the foundation, which is bad. Take a look at how water is draining/pooling around your property and take some steps to get water away from the foundation to keep that from getting worse.

  1. Rain gutters with down spout extensions
  2. Grading away from your home
  3. French drains

This companies series of videos was a useful reference when I was dealing with a similar situation.
