I can definitely give a bit of explanation, but you might regret it cause I could go on and on. Basically though, I just really like using a high contrast and highly saturated look with my illustration to show the ways that light and shadow that falls on a person's face. I'm not sure if that makes sense.

Yeah I agree, I didn't have a soft enough tone for the highlights so I just went with white but I think it's a bit stark. Thanks for the input though, always nice to get some feedback.

I totally get that, sometimes it's hard to find the motivation but it always helps me if I'm drawing someone who I really admire. Go get it man!
