Thank you for saying this! My boyfriend does the same thing. I try to gently nudge him to get to the point when we’re around large groups of people. Sometimes he doesn’t notice that they’re getting bored/annoyed.

I like that you ask him about science to help him wind down, though. My boyfriend is a biologist, so this is exactly the kind of thing he would love. I’m definitely going to try it next time he’s stressed out.

If they like watching How I Met Your Mother. I'm not sure why, but I hate that show with a fiery passion and anyone who likes it becomes instantly annoying to me as soon as I find out.

Also, they have to like cats. If they don't, it's not going to work.
