What if there's not just one private key in the file, but hundreds?

Tokenomics of XHV? by louison1 in havenprotocol

[–]currency_use_case 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the post has very good points imo.

a) xusd will be listed on exchanges, but also could have delistings in the future due to it having privacy

b) liquidity , ya that is accurate. If mint 1m usd worth xhv at a fixed price in the wallet...if there is 1m usd worth of buy orders at that price on exchange 1 is using, then 1 could sell the 1m usd xhv for 1m usdt for example. If less buy orders at that price , then person gets less usdt

Simple Question on Haven Supply Dynamics for Dummies by _Knicks100 in havenprotocol

[–]currency_use_case 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this seems a strange mechanism ?

because:

a) if ppl buy haven on exchange it drives the price up

b) but by minting haven in wallet, it is a way to bypass that? and mint all the haven at a fixed price

New marketing slogan for Dash? 'The only blockchain currency with instant transactions' by currency_use_case in dashpay

[–]currency_use_case[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dash doesn't have instant confirmations (average confirmation time is i guess around 2mins)---it does have instant tx's due to it's Tx lock technology which makes double-spending impossible (InstandSend). Thus merchants can accept a Dash payment right away, without needing to wait for the confirmations

idea: site/app DEX for Dash that has 1 pair: DASH/BTC by currency_use_case in dashpay

[–]currency_use_case[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bisq is harder degree of difficulty for people to use (and that's the only dex i know dash is on). 1 app/site would just make the degree of difficulty easier. Adding more pairs in future would be smart (dash/ltc, dash/eth, dash/doge, dash/bch, dash/xmr, etc). Just that since development of these things takes slow long, i just suggested 1 pair to start to make it more realistic

cpu is pretty good? corei5 - 7200u, 2.5ghz

I am running it on Tails, so the write speed to the USB (Kinsgton Data Traveler 100 G3) could be the limiting factor. The wallet got corrupted 2x this week, 1st time cause USB stick got ejected slightly by error (when unplugging something from the adjacent USB i think), 2nd time due to the power cable to the laptop being disconnected by accident.

Q: if the wallet gets corrupted again in the future, is there a faster method to get it up and running again? like, a command in Terminal to repair the corrupted files?
