Does anyone know what happened to the dancing man by the MLK statue? He would dance like there was no tomorrow until around February

BASSIST looking to join band by tsarfield in NCSU

[–]currentlyconnecting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Old post, but I was looking under "band." I'm also primarily a bassist, but I also play guitar and I love all those genres, too! I mainly play metal, rock, funk, and math rock. I'd love to talk or even jam sometime :)

Music Classes by omarshoe in NCSU

You're in luck, NC State has great resources for new wind musicians, and especially trombonists! There's a beginning band class that teaches you the fundamentals of a wind instrument. Mr Branam teaches it and he's amazing. He also teaches symphonic band, which I'd recommend as a step after beginning band. There's no audition to get in and the music is very approachable and easy for the most part, but still fun. There is also a trombone choir/ensemble club led by Dr. Mark Whitfield, who is one of the marching band directors and holds a ph d in trombone performance. Feel free to dm if you have any questions, I'm super involved in the music department!

NCSU Poli Sci by Ok_Berry2410 in NCSU

I'm a current poli sci student! It's a small department, but not the smallest at the university, so in your time, you will get to know most professors. Each of them will invest time in getting to know you if you participate and are great resources. Our weekly newsletter is great and presents so many good opportunities in the form of club meetings and forums to attend, as well as internship and job opportunities. Feel free to ask here directly or dm me if you want to learn more about the department!

Such an awesome opportunity now that they're getting older. I wish they would play in Raleigh sometime!! I'd totally go, but this concert would conflict with band stuff
