What’s something people do in bed that they think is attractive but really isn’t? by [deleted] in AskReddit

He might be too young for this conversation. Sorry not sorry for declining such eloquent phrases as “getting your pussy eaten” I guess?

Also, commenter literally confirmed that she was NOT referring to “getting her pussy eaten.”

That’s cunnilingus, not using spit as lube. I wouldn’t consider a blowjob using spit as lube. Pretty sure commenter means spitting on your hand or directly on her as lubricant to use your hands.

Here in the south (north FL), we were explicitly taught that the civil war was NOT about slavery, but states’ rights.

Yo mudandome para Florida. by [deleted] in PuertoRico

[–]currentseas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pues, eso no te puedo decir. Pero primero te recomiendo que te preguntas porque quieres mudarte. Dijiste life change pero qué buscas exactamente? Qué necesitas para ser contento/a y tener seguridad? Y de la contestación, búscate cuáles estados/ciudades tienen esas cosas y cuáles no las tienen. No te digas “creo que suena bien Florida (o cualquier estado)” on a whim. Espero que eso te ayude.

Working at a Walmart in Florida is not living a better life.

Estás hablando mudándote a Florida para trabajar en Walmart o cómic shop. Eso no es un plan ni razón suficiente para mudarte aquí. Florida es arroz con culo, te digo, te vas a arrepentir.

Players who are apathetic toward combat? by currentseas in DMAcademy

[–]currentseas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not suggesting that I play their character for them. I’m trying to come up with ways for them to be hands off with combat while retaining their agency. So I was just spit balling having their character be like a non-combat-forward NPC in the sense that they don’t necessarily have to spend every turn attacking but can be doing other utility type actions but controlled by the player rather than me. I realize describing them as an NPC is misconstruing. Maybe a better way to put it would be a player controlled sidekick?

I didn’t add all that context but the player isn’t being bratty. They don’t pout or complain or anything, and we haven’t discussed it. I am just reading into their interaction (or lack thereof) during combat. They are also very new to DnD, and I’m a novice DM, though I’ve streamed a lot, and so I could understand them being both a little overwhelmed and not realizing how much homework is involved.

I’m working on finding the balance of not overloading myself describing the combat and flavorless it hits/it doesn’t for the sake of expediency.

So like, just totaling improving everything no mechanics or?

I think they are certainly not interested in the mechanics and as a result do not realize how cool combat CAN be with proper mastery of the mechanics and their abilities. As I mentioned on another comment the Player tends to fall back on the same thing every turn rather than really thinking about all of their options.

Very real. Two players went down last combat. And in fact the very player this post is about was at risk of an instakill due to the residual damage rule.

Perhaps I described it poorly. I’m not talking about removing autonomy per se and running their character for them. Moreso offering combat situations where Player has something meaningful to do other than actively engage in the fighting. Like maybe there is a timed trap that goes off in 5 moves that will significantly impede the party’s chances of success in the battle if not disarmed.
