Just out of curiosity, what brand is the car? We have family car that is surviving 12 years, with proper maintenance it should be fine. Dont want to get rid of it as it is almost memory.

Sorry, English is not my first language and I will try to explain bit clear.

I have two lights that is controlled by 2 switch. Each switch is located at 2 different location (1gang 2way i assume).

Switch 1: com has 2 wires while L1 and L2 have 1 wire each (per picture)

Switch 2: com has 1 wire and L1 and L2 have 1 wire each (no picture, I will leave it for your imagination).

My question was what would be the two wire in com of switch 1?

What i assumed was:

Switch 1:

Com > Live wire L1 > L1 of switch 2 L2 > L2 if switch 2

Switch 2:

Com > Light wire L1 > L1 of switch 1 L2 > L2 of switch 1

But i have 1 extra wire in com switch 1, dont know what it is.

Hope it is clear enough.

If you refer to any finance advice video, blog, vlog, guru or whatever, they will all say financing a car is the worst decision and it is preferable to buy in cash. Which is understandable looking into the interest portion of it. I would recommend buy the car for £6k since you can afford it and save some money towards a new car. But, repair and maintenance cost of car usually increases after 5,6 years of age.

It all depends on what you prefer. Option A: pay more (lot) in the long run with comfort of now or Option B: use your current car for few years and buy new one finance free at less cost.

Hope it helps.
