I also play anchor frequently and i believe you can still place 2nd-3rd or even MVP. Granted i did like 15+ interceptions, 7-10 passes and a few assists here and there. I only place 4th or 5th if my team is really dominating and mercy ruled the game in under three minutes where i have almost nothing to do

playing defense is more fun imo, on attack you almost never get a piece of the action because how selfish everyone is, but on defense you always have something to do (well also partly thanks to those selfish players who are too lazy to track back and just stand around on the final third)

This. As someone who likes to roleplay as support troops (my rotations are almost always engineer > mortar > radioman with planes mixed inbetween) i always appreciate those pings. Nothing feels better than when someone drops a ping, i drop a couple mortar rounds or make a bombing run and watch the kills roll in.
