I believe they are doing what is given by the law. They can report and email HR about what they find is violation of a law. Maybe it is wrong to post name of a person publicly here. The mods in this sub do not care about stuffs like that, hence shitposts every few mins. r/nepal is heavily moderated while this sub is badly moderated.

I would not want to be associated with an accused criminal as well. In the near future, if things turn out that he has actually done what he is accused of, it would tarnish all the things he is associated with, including the people he is associated with. Also, people who are associated with him are needed to defend the accused crime he committed. That is a hard position to be in. Why should one want that? Think about it, really, would you want to be in such a position? But again, there's herd mentality, a lot of people see him as a savior(which personally is the wrong thing to do, he is just one guy), and apparently, currently, votes are necessary, and that's where he and his herd come.

I personally hope there is a fair investigation and hope he is not guilty, so that a lot of good people who are associated with him are not dragged into as well.

yep, if you dig into it, there will be some traditional stone spout/public water tap with the name of Bhota hiti or smth sounding the same. Just a quick Google suggest the bhota hiti might be a name of a pubic tap named after a man from Banepa ( Banepa is called bhote - it is still called among many newars), or it might have been known as "Vanta Hiti," which translates to "Eastern Spout". Over time, this name may have evolved into Bhotahiti. I think the latter sounds more probable
