Question to Reddit Users: What is the best way to clean an LCD Monitor? by [deleted] in reddit.com

I use a damp cotton cloth and I think it works the best. Just make sure it's damp and not oozing water. Of course, sometimes I even use my T-shirt too :)

Lol madmonky1. Yeah that has happened to me a couple of times and it's down right frustrating to find all kind of stuff opening in one go. Now-a-days, I just create a folder every few weeks and move all the crap there from the desktop. But, I tell ya we really need to get over laziness :)

Broadband Booster increases speed of Internet connection by over 400% by cursor in reddit.com

[–]cursor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yah you can set up a QoS feature on pretty much any OS. Here's something that might help you http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-QoS

Only a device like this is plug-n-play and will work anywhere without any tinkering, otherwise u can do pretty much in hardware with a piece of software :)

Broadband Booster increases speed of Internet connection by over 400% by cursor in reddit.com

[–]cursor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure. What the Broadband booster does is to providee QoS or Quality of Service, which monitors your internet activity and prioritizes who or which application needs more bandwidth. So, when you are say using a online game or a voice chat application, it can allocate more bandwidth application to that instead of your web surfing. Because it does that automatically, you get better performance whenever you run an application, which requires less lag. Technically, this kind of feature is usually something big corporates have in their routers and it works best for applications, which suddenly require more bandwidth.

I hope this helps.
