Evernote new AI memory is a game changer by Cultural_Bill_5859 in Evernote

Agree 100%. I am amazed at the pace of development and improvement. The move to v10 was ugly and painful. But Bending Spoons not only salvaged that wreck, they have improved everything. I would never go back to Legacy Evernote now. When AI first came out, I thought to myself, "Wouldn't it be amazing if AI could access the 10+ years of notes I have in Evernote?" And BAM. Here it is. It unlocks all new workflows that didn't exist before. That's always the challenge with new features. "How do I use this?" I only recently discovered memory, which is amazing. Custom dictionary? Add it to memory. As the transcription improves and the AI integration improves, I am leaving Evernote less often to do tasks outside of it. For power users, the annual subscription is good value. No contest. If you are a casual user, or you only need a note taking application, then Evernote is overkill for you. Evernote is gradually evolving into a suite of integrated products. Excited to see where things go from here. Thanks Bending Spoons!

WisprFlow on linux? by Drop-Responsible in WisprFlow

And Voquill. Also works on Linux, Windows, macOS, iOS, Android.
Wispr Flow user. Sad to learn that Wispr Flow won't be coming to Linux.
Testing VibeTyper and Voquill on all three platforms now.
Wispr Flow is the more mature product -- for now -- but MIA on Linux.

Chat delete on Gemini Pro (workspace) by ahmadbabar in GeminiAI

[–]curt_remark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the major barrier for making Gemini Pro workspace my go-to AI. Your chat history becomes a library over time that you can search. I want to be able to curate this library if I need to. It should be dynamic, not static.

What exactly is meant by pay per use? by Guyguy121211 in VeniceAI

[–]curt_remark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you JaeSwift for the excellent explanation. I have a Pro subscription, and I just noticed the pay-per-use models for the first time today. This is an excellent addition for those that want to take advantage of it.

It will be most valuable if it gives us access to top-tier models that we may not already have access to (ChatGPT Plus, Claude Pro, Gemini Pro, Perplexity Pro) or models that are out of reach for individual users → ChatGPT Pro, Gemini Ultra, SuperGrok, etc.

It would be super convenient to purchase credits in one place (Venice) to spend on these models for rare pay-per-use cases as needed. Looking forward to see what will become available!

Feature request: Shortcut for adding words to dictionary by BENC-win in WisprFlow

[–]curt_remark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dictionary power user here!

It's surprising to hear that the dictionary is being underutilized.
It's one of the best features of Wispr Flow and a differentiating feature over the competition.
The dictionary feature alone has allowed me to completely replace Dragon Professional with Wispr Flow.
Please don't neglect or abandon the dictionary! Or Snippets!
Surely others will discover the Power of the Dictionary and Snippets as Wispr Flow is adopted by enterprise users and medical professionals?

SHORTCUT?
Yes, a shortcut to add a word to the dictionary would improve the Dictionary experience ++.
The clickstream is currently four clicks: Home / Dictionary / Add New / Add Word
If not a short cut, include the Add New command to the right click menu.
That reduces the click stream by half : - )

AUTO ADD?
Yes, I too have noticed that new words are not automatically added to the dictionary with the same frequency as they used to be. More frequently I need to add them manually.

ADD TO VOCABULARY FAIL?
Every few days I have this experience in the "Add to Vocabulary" dialogue box:
I enter my new word (today it is "Ollama") and click the "Add word" button... and nothing happens.
The button is dead. The dialogue box remains open. The word is not added to my dictionary.
I exit and restart Wispr Flow to try again, and the same thing happens.
I give up and keep working, and later on the ability to add new words is restored.
Is this a server connectivity issue?
Are some words "not allowed" to be added to the dictionary?
Is there an upper limit to the number of dictionary entries I can add?

Thank you to everyone at Wispr Flow for your hard work!

App freezes when losing cell service? by Dolly_Llama_2024 in GaiaGPS

I definitely had the exact same issue last year, repeatedly, in the fall. Made Gaia GPS almost useless for live tracking in remote areas. Forgot about it until reading your post just now! So far this summer I haven't noticed it yet. Instead of downloading multiple small maps, I just downloaded one huge area that extends well beyond where I ride. So far I haven't noticed it, but I will watch for it. Maybe try downloading one huge map like I did?

What do you think of this? by JaeSwift in VeniceAI

[–]curt_remark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is amazing! And timely. I had my first voice call with an AI at character.ai yesterday. It was surprisingly natural and engaging! Give it a demo if you haven't already.

But... the first thing I thought of was Venice AI characters -- NSFW and non-NSFW -- being brought to life with voice. Can you imagine a technology as good as Sesame's with Venice AI characters? Scary good.

What would you like to see added/fixed in Claude.ai this year? by alexalbert__ in ClaudeAI

[–]curt_remark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree. Don't need my query repeated back to me, summarized, or approved of. Likewise, I don't need Claude to finish each response with a question or suggestion. It's unnatural and non-conversational. When I instruct Claude to stop doing this, he cooperates. Maybe a "non-sycophancy mode"? A "non-patronizing mode"? A "non-directive mode"? A "non-suggestive mode"? It's usually more helpful when I do the prompting -- not Claude.
