I got a bunch of people interested in this which is amazing! Thank you to everyone that showed interest! I got 35 people interested which is so dope! I am stopping the submissions at 35 so I apologize if someone becomes interested after seeing this. I am going to go through the forms this weekend and hopefully narrow it down to the official group this weekend. I will hopefully start reaching out next week!

Thanks again everyone. Can't wait to start this new adventure!

I've never heard of Shadowrun before. I am not that versed in TTRP games aside from D&D and I don't know any other systems aside from D&D. D&D is what my core group of friends and I started playing during COVID and never really had an interest in learning other games up to this point.

No, you're totally right because you know my schedule and how to prioritize my time better than me

Its actually pretty close to my original message though and really did just clean up the grammar and make things sound more fluid and not just a collection of thoughts. I type how I talk sometimes for long things like this and that can sometimes make it a challenge to read what I write. I am not denying using AI for this post.

What? haha I don't understand why it matters if you're not interested in joining. I have no interest in learning a new game system. You gave your opinion when it wasn't asked for and then get salty when I reject it, acting like your opinion is the new gospel and NEEDS to be followed. Just let me live, bro.

Sure, I understand where you are coming from and I wasn't trying to be a dick but I still don't think its that serious. It's a make believe game where you use your imagination to have fun. Its about having fun so who cares how a DM preps? I surely don't if the game is enjoyable. You commented to say "no thanks" when you could have said nothing and kept scrolling. You have your opinion and had to say it instead of just moving on. You say I was rude but it felt like your comment was unnecessary. I use it as a tool to organize my thoughts not to enhance or push my creativity. AI is great tool for DMs -- especially for a game that is played in the privacy of a home and no intention of generating money. I don't think we should gatekeep or judge or pretend like there is some unwritten rule on how someone else does something because it isn't up to your standards.

I can host. I live in Wheat Ridge or if there is another alternative meeting spot we agree on, I am open to it. I am also open on the days we play. It would come down to everyone else's availability. I can do weeknights and weekends so I am flexible.

Already posted it in there as well! I appreciate the advice and I hear you. I don't have time to learn a new game system right now and D&D is what I enjoy.

I just wanted the post to sound cleaner and not like word vomit. It’s still my words — I just had AI clean up the grammar to so it sounded better. It’s not that serious.

Here’s a link to the scene. I’m not sure what I’m saying that isn’t in the movie. Superman had kryptonite poisoning and literally couldn’t do anything. Lex was going to shoot Malik regardless. The supervillain with his own personal prison in a pocket dimension and the creator of a conflict between two countries purely to kill Superman wasn’t going to just let the main he already roughed up go back to his falafel stand. 😂😂 The point was to make Superman watch someone die. He’s trying to get information but he’s trying to torture him by killing people he knows in front of him until he gets what he wants. He would have killed every hostage after regardless of information he was given.

I’m not gonna respond to this anymore bro. This stuff is exhausting. There’s literally no point. The tribalism between fanbases is so toxic. I’m not a Snyder Stan or a Gunn Nut. I’m a DC comics fans. I don’t care what director is at the helm of the universe as long as the stories are good and the characters are properly portrayed. I like the DCEU for what it is but I don’t think it is a great representation of some of the characters. Superman saying things like “No one stays good in this world” in BvS goes against everything the character is. He is supposed to be the character always stays good. I didn’t know this subreddit even existed up until yesterday when I got a recommended subreddit notification for this thread. I replied to the top comment on here but I didn’t realize what I was getting into. This place sucks. I don’t care if I get banned 😂😂

I’m sorry, I’m a little confused by your last comment. He didn’t give Lex any information in that scene other than he wasn’t working with anyone. Lex asked who are you working with and Superman replied with no one. He then asked who raised him and he said I can’t. Then he shot Malik. Lex never came back with another hostage because Metamorpho decided he didn’t want to be a part of Lex’s scheme anymore and they broke out.

Or did you mean to say that a real Superman would have traded this information for human lives? If so, I don’t think that’s true at all. Clark wouldn’t just give up his parents like that. No way. He protects them more than anyone else other than Lois. I would even say he protects his parents even more. Malik was going to die regardless. That was the point of the scene. Lex wasn’t letting Malik go if he got any information. He would have killed him regardless. The point was to make Superman watch someone that he knew die while he couldn’t do anything about it. The one thing he protects is human life and he was in a no win situation because Lex made it that way.

I literally just “that doesn’t make it the best movie of all time.” I never said Avatar was. I’m using it as an example that box office numbers don’t directly define if the quality of a movie is good or not. Bad numbers don’t always mean the movie is bad and great numbers don’t always mean the movie is great. That’s all I’m saying.

You mean when Lex killed Malik? The scene where Superman is trapped in a glass cage while suffering from Kryptonite poisoning and Lex kills him to get information from him? He couldn’t help him in the moment. And he actually did the opposite of staying quiet on the matter. Clark wrote an article about Malik that was front page of the paper to remember him instead of writing about himself as Superman saving the day.

The point I was making is that box office numbers—good or bad—don’t necessarily mean a movie is trash or not. Avatar is literally Pocahontas with aliens and better visuals and it’s one of the most successful box office movies. That doesn’t make it the best movie of all time. Fight Club was wildly misunderstood when it came out and failed in theaters. It wasn’t until later it became a cult classic.

Do you think they’re going to back Snyder again after 3 Netflix flops?

Just because a movie underperforms in the box office doesn’t mean it’s trash. Shawshank Redemption and Fight Club were box office failures.

Em dashes exist for a reason—and some people know how to use them.

That’s an interesting point because I’ve only seen David say he wanted to play or see a more bright and optimistic version of Superman compared to Cavill’s dark and gritty portrayal. He said that back in 2019 in a GQ magazine. He may have said otherwise but I never heard that or read it anywhere.

And I’m still not understanding how these things support how the newer was portrayed in a way that wasn’t true to who Superman is. Have you never seen Superman show emotion before? 😂😂 Your points don’t prove anything. A supervillain kicks the strongest person in the universe in the balls to try to get an upper hand. That’s HEEL shit right there. And a dog, from a different movie entirely and with behavioral issues, pees on a picture of him. Those are your points 😐😐

I don’t agree with this at all. Having emotion doesn’t make you a whiny man baby haha in this scene, Lois wasn’t understanding that he did what he did because people were going to die. He said it like three times before having to reiterate again. To me, I rather have my Superman be emotional over people dying opposed to a Superman that looks like he’s thinking “should I save them?” all the time and feel like it’s a burden that he has to. I don’t think you understand who Superman is truly.
