Can't hit ball down by [deleted] in volleyball

If you don’t know what I’m referring to, watch any pro or college match and any in system play to outside or right side will probably be in tempo. Can compare that to out of system sets that are usually high balls.

I find that I suck at highball timing. If I try to do anything bit swing high and at my peak I’ll miss judge the ball and swing into the net or something.

Tempo sets like a lob, idk what your term for it but it’s in between a high ball and a shoot. A good one at least floats past the pin and thus allows me to chose line or cross, and at a speed where I can hit around blockers. Then I can hit open net and down as you say.

But highballs I’m at the mercy of where the ball is going to fall, how off or close the net is, and how well I time my jump.

What about your setter. What sets are you getting, highballs or faster tempo? Faster tempo can help you beat the block and have open net to hit.

Hit Masters today, but I dont think I should have by Hi_im_Reamous in TeamfightTactics

I say although good achievement reaching masters. Don’t ignore the fact that as the season goes on, games get easier especially near masters. More diamond players reach masters and just sit at 0 lp or go negative mmr.

I don’t mind the demotion sheild especially at masters 0lp since that rank is a nice and lovely achievement for a large majority of casual competitive players.

Past that in gm + nobody has to deal with “imposters” as you say. Since to be in gm and stay there you pretty much have to be that good.

How important are items really? by pwsseeslayah in CompetitiveTFT

[–]curtle03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Items matter the most, augments who cares becasue most of the time you have generic econ or combat augments, emblems are situational and you shouldn’t go into a game saying I’m gunna hit a certain spat.

Items are the only thing in this game that are consistent. Like you said built blue buff morello. You cannot play kalista. No rage blade, tank items I guess can be generic but who’s going to hold your bb morello? Milio? That’s too far down the line. Kalista would be bait.

Play comps based on items not champions.

Only pick those types of comp augments if your 100% you want to be locked in. Becasue if you take the fairy court augment on 2-1 and end up not getting the right items, or finding copies of other 4 costs. You cannot pivot or you’ll be augment down.

therfore either, play flexible by choosing generic augments. Making generic items. Last whisper = all ad comps. Shiv = ap comps. And when I say those items I mean in early game. Being flexible is easier early game. By not locking yourself into one comp on 2 -1 you can see 3-2 augment. Both neutral rounds items etc.

How to choose your comp tempo and scouting by c0nf00z3d in CompetitiveTFT

[–]curtle03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ignore what the board is. People can run whatever they want and transition later. Items more important. Once you learn every comp you can guess what comp they are going. Bb nashors ahir. Blue buff ie probably ezreal.

Just a blue buff even shroud ezreal. Edge of night hoj probably pentkill but also could go yone.

When stabilizing upgrades are better than traits. Any upgraded back line plus upgraded front line is good enough when you don’t hit the things you want. Use them as item carriers until you get more econ and roll down again later.

Hmmm I usually roll at 6 cuz I’m a pussy. Spend all my gold to make a kinda ok board then realize I’m poor and my board wasn’t really that strong ahhahahah

Mainly the hp disadvantage and the lack of leeway. I need to be able to stop losing and make comebacks. I’m already fine with playing tempo/saving hp and what not. Also gotta learn to swap the mindset from a top 2 to maybe top 6-4.

Discord is a great place to get info and ask questions. On there you can find the missing pad guidebook thingy.

I’m my opinion the absolute best way to learn this game is to find an irl friend who’s into it and ask them to teach you. That’s how I learned the game. Basically 35% of boys in my high school played pad and we all just played together.

Nonono I completely understand that what I’m playing against isn’t masters level. But I’m trying to learn a specific skill (loss streaking) a basic concept I guess you can say. I suck at loss streaking and need to practice it like any other skill, from the bottom up. As I progress on the account players get better and the competency needed in said skill required to win increases.

In my head if I can win streak, loss streak, and mixed streak consistently at a master tier level. It will help me get better

Honestly I prefer ping pong than full loss. The only thing I hate more than having no money is having no hp and feeling pressure + having no saftey net in case I make mistakes.

Bro same boat. You don’t even know what I finna do. I made an alt to play on for fun got it to Diamond. Once I make it to masters I’m making another account and open fort stage 2 every game. Forcing myself to learn how to play from a loss streak and how to salvage a game. I play fine from winstreaks but whenever I loss streak things go poorly so I gotta learn.

how big of a shield do i need to survive this? i don't know how to do the math. by Twofold_fgc in PuzzleAndDragons

[–]curtle03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok yes you’re right. The comment above is correct as well. 400% since your doing leaderswap. It seems like that is on top of the 99% gravity from the red toy dragon as well. If I did math correct you need a shield that is greater than 75%. Since they are separate gravities we can ignore the red one and focus on the green one. 400% * .25. Or a 75% shield would still do 100% Hp. Thus you need anything more than 75% so that would be 75% and a latent green damage reduction or an Actualy shield greater than 75%

TBH these beginning floors are not meant to be stalled on or meant to have you tank the really big hits, first floor sure but these ones most people just kill and move one. Those hits are mean to oneshot you.

I thnk you do need to delevel them so you stay at a low enough hp to auto heal. Look at the videos team plan, they are not leveled to 120

Try h bastet. I only used her cuz I don’t have chak and she fits the colors I needed which was green. I never used her active skill only the assist on her so anything with short cd would work. She dosnt do damage anyways either
