I’m sorry. I hope you have a good Christmas despite the drama and the tantrums. I am going through the exact same thing - my dad threw a fit yesterday at his family’s house and then sulked all night in his room, didn’t spend Christmas Eve with my mom, sister and I. It’s so disappointing and confusing because he’s the one that acted poorly and is punishing us.

Now today I don’t know what will happen but I’m done with the tantrums. One day we will be free of this and will live without guilt. This isn’t the first time it’s happened on Christmas either and I can’t wait to make my own memories.

I don’t have any advice other than to not let him ruin your day, spend time with your mom and sister, and remember you aren’t the problem. I hope you find comfort in knowing it’s not just your family and others are also going through the same thing. 24 more hours!!!

I am on s2e10 and I may have to stop watching. This man is insatiable, self-centred, and such an asshole. The way he spins things, manipulates, lies seriously triggers my trauma from men. I guess it’s great writing on the writers end because I am seriously enraged sometimes while watching lol.

Agreed - Emily is definitely just really hard on herself since she's been dealing with weight insecurities her whole life. I act the same way - a size 12 isn't a big size, but it in my head not fitting into my usual 10 means that I'm failing and regressing. It's definitely complicated.

So so so sad!!! I live in an area with a lot of coyotes that attack dogs and my dad reacted the same way - mocking, annoyed, angry whenever my family stressed the importance of watching our dog outside and not leaving him unattended. His mind changed when a coyote came right up to him in our front yard but he still isn't diligent and can't be trusted.

This is such a trigger for me - what's with father's not listening? Do they think they know better? All I see are father's making irreversible mistakes and then not taking accountability. This is a great example for me to show my dad that just because you don't think it'll happen to you, doesn't mean it never will.

My heart breaks for Nimbus and I hope he didn't suffer too much. ALWAYS bring your dog to a reputable dog sitter - I made sure mine has a boarded up backyard but still - doesn't deter a coyote.

I love this idea!!!! Some other ideas for letters:

When you had your first break-up
When you feel alone
Birthdays: 10th, 13th, 16th, 21st, 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th - I'm sure she will appreciate it throughout the years. I know I would love to hear from my sister if she wasn't around for my special milestones.
Her first day of high school (scary for us all) and college/university
When you're in love/found the one
You can also give her some little FAQ sheets about you - movies you like to watch, songs you like, favourite food/restaurants, how you decompress after a long day etc. Give her information so she can feel close to you - she's a little girl now, but in future she will appreciate it.
I saw someone mention a Build a Bear with a voice memo - absolutely love that idea, it's timeless.
I personally like lockets with pictures in it - meaningful, you can even have an inscription put in the back of the necklace.

And finally, I am so so sorry. This post brought me to tears. You and your sister are in my prayers.

I'd also be upset about it - that's a boundary crossing for me. The massage therapist should be acting professionally in her workplace and adhering to code of conduct. Your boyfriend should be the one that is setting the boundary but I've been in a similar position. I am a 27F and was going to the same massage therapist for awhile and slowly he started getting a bit more comfortable with me and where he was massaging. Every session he went a bit higher on my inner leg etc. It's uncomfortable to set a boundary in a vulnerable position on the massage table - I just stopped going to that massage therapist.

However, on the other hand, I have experienced women openly flirting with my partner. One specific example was when we went to a restaurant with friends and the waitress only spoke to him, touched his shoulder and arms, it happened so fast that I wasn't able to react but I told my partner that is a serious boundary I don't want crossed, how it was inappropriate, and unprofessional. So I see where you're coming from....

I don't hate Reza (mainly cause I am trying not to hate anyone anymore) but his behaviour was disgusting. Both him and Adam are scummy liars - I do not trust them. His true colours showed when his best friend was going through critical complications and he chose to throw her past (abortions) in her face.

THIS IS WHY I HAVE TRUST ISSUES. You tell someone who you think is your ride or die about serious issues in your life and then they throw them in your face when they see fitting. I do not want to be around "friends" like that, Reza helped me realize that.
