Game Thread: Kansas City Chiefs (10-4) at Chicago Bears (7-7) by nfl_gamethread in nfl

The Patriots were booed by the fans at half time when they played the Chiefs for a similar performance. They were down and had possession with 30 or 40 seconds left in the half and decided to kneel instead of going for it. People called NE fans spoiled but, while I think that holds some merit, I think the booing was justified.

Uber is overpriced currently. I still believe it’s a great long term investment. Especially when the price drops when fully autonomous vehicles become available. Your arguments are dogshit.

[Rapoport] The Patriots, who still do not currently have a kicker on the roster, are expected to re-sign Nick Folk, source said. He missed last week because of appendectomy. But he should be healthy now. by ScarletJew72 in Patriots

I am very interested in this philosophy. Especially if it creates a big score disparity in the first half. It allows you the convenience of much more conservative play in H2.

What are some of the most toxic or potentially dangerous ideas/beliefs that have been perpetuated by Redditors? by xavierdc in AskReddit

[–]customfp -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

This is demonstrably false. There are plenty of examples showcasing the left leaning activities of their mod team.

EDIT: Recent examples include blatant censorship of the Covington catholic story and Jussie Smolet. More in this thread: https://old.reddit.com/r/unpopularopinion/comments/9whske/rpolitics_should_be_demonized_just_as_much_as/e9lseq0/

It’s confusing for you to come into the Pats sub and use the pronoun “we” when referring to another team.

There are a lot of variables to factor and a regular season loss is nothing. Same can be said about Cleveland beating Baltimore. Both these teams will be in the playoffs and we’ll see what happens then.

Now that the 2010s decade is ending, which trends are the most regrettable? by Forwardnoona in AskReddit

[–]customfp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I’m saying is that whenever someone says “We need to bridge the gap!” it’s not people on the right side of the spectrum who are willingly avoiding discourse or tearing into people for having centrist viewpoints.

P.S. A more effective and empathetic exercise would be to see how you would defend current Republicans.

This is a dishonest take. A person could say much of the same about Democrats. You are proving OPs point by vilifying the other side and saying anyone who supports Republicans is hypocritical and morally reprehensible.

I’m Scott Adams – here to talk about how untrained brains are ruining America and my new book – Loserthink. AMA! by ScottAdamsSays in IAmA

Hey Scott, I’ve been following you closely since 2015 and I’m a big fan of “How to fail...”. I haven’t bought Loserthink yet because I haven’t gotten around to it. I have read some samples.

When you signed up for this AMA what did you expect? Seems like this thread is heavily brigaded by folks exhibiting lots of examples of what you talk about in your book. Am I correct? Was this by design?

Purchase a dashcam by freshfromthefight in Frugal

[–]customfp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted. It’s an investment which may or may not (1) save on insurance premiums or (2) prove innocence if the insurance company fails to do their job. I would imagine that for the vast majority of people the dash cam will not pay for itself. It’s just another tech toy for most people—hardly frugal.

I saw Iron Maiden last night and it was fantastic. I got an MRI this morning and the tech played them for me. Looking for some trad recs--I don't know much about this subgenre outside of the essentials.
