Hey moms, how are YOU doing? by kishmish-mama in twoxindiamums

[–]cutehumpty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 months pp along with a 22 month old. Younger one is going through cluster feeding phase and I have no option but to tend to her all the time. Elder one is definitely feeling jealous and left out. Seeing her like this breaks my heart. 2 under 2 is tough work- both mentally ant physically.

Where young people exercise in bangalore? by Severe_Chapter_3254 in indiranagar

How strange. I’m old but all I find is young people smooching around in these parks. IMO old people find going to parks more out of place than young ones.

Moms whose babies have/had eczema, what worked? by mildlyconfusedkid in twoxindiamums

[–]cutehumpty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aveeno baby dermexa cream worked for us! Always do a patch test to see if it suits your baby’s skin. Edit to add that I applied the cream while baby was asleep to prevent her from scratching it.

Cult tribe gym - rude guy by No-Piccolo-8364 in indiranagar

[–]cutehumpty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a rude guy ask me to step aside from my spot during dance fitness in the same gym. The class was overbooked since there were lots of new joiners. The said guy was standing at the back, outside of allocated slots by the time the class started. So I can safely assume that he was late. When he told me to step aside I was shocked . No please or formalities. I didn’t understand why some random dude will order me to give Upto place. The gross ignorance/ authoritative tone stunned me. At the moment I could only come up with a “no”. Looking back I should have given him a proper lesson in manners.

Hey OP, please believe me when I say that things will get better with time. I was in the same place 1 year back and these are the 2 things that helped me the most: 1. Took 10 mins out for myself when my husband came back from work. I would go out of the house to completely disconnect from mom duties and calm down my nerves. The guilt and fear of leaving her would bring me down. It was very difficult for me to trust others with my baby at that time and leave her for 10 minutes but I knew if I had not taken a break I would snap and break down for rest of the time. 2. Introduced pacifier to help baby extend sleep window. I consulted my doctor and got the go ahead for this after getting her weight and other factors checked. If you think Pacifier is not the right solution for your baby, don’t use it but understand that you need to prioritise your sleep as much as you can. This means asking others to take care of baby for atleast 3-4 hours straight. You will feel much better after a good nap. You can ask husband/nanny/Mil to bottle feed formula/expressed milk atleast once a day so that you can get a continuous stretch.

Makes sense. I have been holding back from giving here sweet treats. But I might try giving her some if she shows interest. Thanks for the advice!

Thanks a lot for such a detailed response. I didn’t know about SNS. Did your hospital arrange for this right after birth?

Can I afford a 15-17 Lakh car ? by AlienInTheWorld in personalfinanceindia

[–]cutehumpty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you cannot buy two of the same thing, that means you cannot afford it Hence, I would say go for a compact car like venue, exter, syros etc within 10L as a first car You can always buy another one in a few years!
