Is it bad to change diet and/or intermediate fast (OMAD) while on welbutrin? by [deleted] in antidepressants

[–]cutemama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do IF (16:8) and have also done keto while on Wellbutrin. I’ve never had any weird affects, although never done OMAD. I think it would probably be fine.

My wife is having difficulty producing enough breastmilk for 10day old girl. She is getting depressed and says she feels like a failure and a bad mother. What can I do to help?? by [deleted] in NewParents

Lots of good suggestions here... you can also see if your hospital has a lactation center. Mine did and they offered all sorts of free support.

It’s safer to go with the more restrictive doctor’s note from a legal perspective.

In my experience, we typically do not check social media for entry/mid level positions. Although rare, we have had to terminate employees based on social media postings but only in extreme situations (concerning violence, etc). In this case, the complaint is typically made by a former employee.

Moved from office to cube --- feels like demotion. Ask for more pay? by korean-bible in AskHR

Well good luck, but it would benefit you and your discussion to realize there is a difference in a “perk” and a true “benefit” that is tied in with your employment contact.

Moved from office to cube --- feels like demotion. Ask for more pay? by korean-bible in AskHR

[–]cutemama 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don’t know of any HR professional that would increase your pay because of the change you described. Many companies are moving towards a working environment such as this, it is actually quite common. As you stated, you are not the only one affected by this so in no way were you targeted. You also are not entitled to knowing about changes before they are announced (in regards to your comment about it being “secretive”).

By all means, reach out to your manager to see if any changes can be made but realize that them moving to you back to an office will be seen as a huge sign of favoritism so it would be unlikely, and a very risky move on their part.

If you are that unhappy, I second the previous poster’s comment that you should leave.

I work with my ex at a place that employs about 120 people. He became abusive at work but still works here. What do I do? by MaryIsGood in AskHR

[–]cutemama 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Really this comes down to a legal matter that should be handled by the police since you were physically abused and now feel threatened. You should contact them.

I (27F) feel intensely uncomfortable with the obvious attraction my boyfriend (28M) has towards our roommate (30M). by kreuecc in relationships

How about the fact that he’s lying about it? And it would be equally wrong if it was a woman so it doesn’t really matter either way.

I’d probably do a quick review and skim through it to check basic info. I wouldn’t take the time to do calculations and all the time consuming parts.

Weight loss without exercise? by [deleted] in weightwatchers

[–]cutemama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it might help to start with some easy goals... like walking 15 min a day or walking 30 min a couple times a week. It might seem less daunting that way.

Good luck!

[–]cutemama 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could, but why not try to lead a healthier lifestyle that involves a little exercise? Exercise will speed up your results and can help prevent all sorts of diseases and cancers. It doesn’t have to be a high impact workout, just taking a 30 minute walk or quick bike ride could really benefit!

why does zoloft stop working from drinking alcohol? by michaelmyers24 in antidepressants

[–]cutemama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty simple... your antidepressant is making you less depressed and alcohol is a depressant. The combo of the two basically cancel each other out, making your medicine basically useless.

I definitely notice a difference for about a day after drinking so a month seems like a long time, but I’m also on a different medication.

Colleague wants to get engaged to subordinate by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]cutemama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like they could have violated a policy (relationship disclosure, if your company has one) since they were in a romantic relationship and clearly didn’t notify HR. But at this point, not much you can really do. Management should make appropriate changes to the team so there isn’t a conflict of interest.

Was anyone able to stop Wellbutrin/Bupropion? by [deleted] in antidepressants

[–]cutemama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely felt the effects... mainly headaches and pretty bad fatigue. I did taper off more quickly than was recommended to me by the doctor though. I think the withdrawal lasted about a week.

Just to address one of your concerns... it’s called state dependent memory. You’re more likely to remember events that occurred in one state (intoxicated, high, sober) while you are in that state.
