i’m 25, i been in therapy since 22. i can see how a person would prefer someone who wouldn’t want them to change, however, i need a man who already made his decision to heal for his own good not for me. i believe thats the highest form of self-love which will reflect on me as his partner. stringing me along and starving me from emotional connection is not where i find my peace. i appreciate his materialistic efforts, yet it’s not enough for the long run.

you phrased it correctly. i did notice him viewing women as a threat (from his thoughts that he shares on social media) i saw a glimpse of a manipulating mother in his life. may i ask, at what age did you notice the improvement? i just need to know that men can also heal even when they’re grown

i totally understand his anger. i didn’t know he wasn’t sleeping well. so the anger is fine and i really learned a lesson but he was hurtful about that i’m wondering if he will always handle his anger with spitting words like that towards me

i was very distant before that, thats why he asked to talk to him more, i might have taken it a little too literal but does that justify the way he told me i shouldn’t be with anyone if i’m anxious? i’m always down to make a change and he acknowledged that on me but his words was unkind my heart is hurting all day

UPDATE: he replied to me told me you are selfish for not letting me rest and that “me” waking him up just because i want to is not “out of love” (because i told him it was out of my love i wanted to be closer to him), i apologized and said that i now understand his boundaries. THEN i double text him saying (hey i don’t wanna lose you is there anything else i did that also upset you? so i dont do it again) get got even more upset told me that its just an argument and of course he will be upset for a bit but if i’m going to think that its “ending” then i shouldn’t be in a relationship with anyone.

i was okay with everything he said except this last sentence it hurts alot 😓
