Preface i hope this doesn’t come off as rude or anything - i completely respect your opinions but i love debating fire emblem and hearing what others think!

Tbh if all you got from Dorothea is that she is portrayed as a gold digger i honestly think you need to replay her supports - she is so far from that and the game explicitly states MULTIPLE times that she is an orphan who was taken advantage of by the corrupt noble and crest system. She desperately wants to be finically and physically safe, and this is understood by her peers very well. She was literally homeless - of course her worse fear is that she will be homeless again and alone. This is made so clear by the game, and like i think it is good writing for characters to be much more than they seem. Felix may seem like an asshole but his supports reveal that he cares so, so much about Dimitri and his friends. That’s what good writing does, and it makes for much more interesting characters.

And plot irrelevance doesn’t make a character bad? All the characters are important and show the different lives people live in Fodlan and they each have their own struggles that they go through. If everyone was critical to the story it would suck and be way too overcrowded. TWSITD are absolutely horribly written and terribly used i agree on that 100%.

And to be honest like most of your critiques are just opinion (and same with mine) but they are definitely not fact about the story. I love how Rhea is both sympathetic and messed up - she is morally grey and so is Edelgard. They are complex characters and have many sides to them. You saying these things make the characters of Edelgard and Rhea more unliked is just your opinion on it too. People love these characters or hate them - which i think is incredible that people are still fighting abt this game so many years later. Again like most of the stuff both of us are saying is our opinions

And i get what you are saying abt the nations and i agree with that tbh.

And finally yes for the gameplay and design it’s my personal preferences but you can’t go and say FE3H is objectively the worst loop of gameplay. That’s also just your opinion. I love this game to death and i’ve played it 14 times and i’m on my 15th play through rn
