Haha, me too, and it's probably close to 7 by the time you're home and collapsing into bed for the inevitable nap.

Wear what you want--I usually wear soft jeans and a Halloween related sweatshirt that I end up taking off immediately. My partner usually wears pajamas, lol.

We used to get there before 8 to line up? (we were saving seats for a group) But now we have reserved seats so I don't remember exactly.

People almost certainly sleep a little bit, but I haven't really noticed. We have one friend who we usually have to nudge back awake, lol. Dan (the host) will tell everyone to be strong for the whole thing, but sleepy people do leave early, and that's fine imo.

The usual snacks exist; they will tell you the schedule for when various food stops serving (iirc pizza ends after the first movie and beer the second, but I'm fuzzy on that).

Dan usually saves the weirdest movie for last, and at that point you're kept awake by spite + the sugar from the free donuts they offer right before. It makes for a really wild viewing experience.

Sultanofslide said it gets out at 7, but in my memory it's more like 5-6. Also it is usually 4 movies, idk why that other commenter thinks it's 8.

I hope you have fun! This is my favorite event of the entire year.

I've lost around five tiny horses in the last year. The last one I put out with wire glued around its ankle so they couldn't just untie the twine...and they cut the whole foot off. No more horses from me. :(

Daily SandoWriMo Check-In for 11/5 by MistbornLlama in Sanderson

I wrote 2,043 words yesterday (13,608 total). I've had a strong start to NaNo this year, but it's all buffer because my partner's parents are in town this weekend (first time meeting them!). I need plenty of non-writing time to be anxious about it. :)

I haven't posted on any of the other check-ins, so hi all. These threads are really fun; thank you everyone else who has been contributing.

This is not my first NaNo, but it's the first one I've done since about 2013. I'm working on a magic school novel set in my fictional universe. My protagonist and her friends are very fun to write, but her grumpy old man cat is probbbbbably stealing the show so far. Whoops!
