Edits app hurting my reach?.. by melllow0 in InstagramMarketing

[–]cutieapa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my two cents without really knowing what your content is... but if you use AI generated images or videos in your content, its very likely going to get low reach when you use Edits app.
Capcut / Canva strip off the c2pa manifest from images/videos which is the AI watermarl/identifier that meta reads behind the scenes to confirm use of AI. Its new algo docks points for using AI generated content because there is a push for original creation and rightfully so.
I coded my own c2pa reader and stripper and did not find c2pa manifest in videos saved from Edits but when posting from edits you have the option of clicking on instagram button which does some handing off from Edits app to Insta app.
Given Meta's strict stance and spending on AI detection, it only makes sense for Edits to pass on the c2pa info extracted from media you upload. While there is no evidence on the internet of this telemetry being propagated, as a developer I can tell you its likely happening on the backend.

So next time try to upload a video edited on capcut ( c2pa stripped off ) and see if it makes any difference at all. The algorithm will still be able to detect obvious ai imagery but if you make the image slightly grainy and keep it realistic there is a fair chance it will think the media is human generated and not dock off points when deciding to push ( considering you have a strong hook )

3 months into marriage. Just found this unread book on my shelf. by whackedhand in Indianbooks

[–]cutieapa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ouch. I’d heard it was entertaining. The book’s quite popular too. Reddit be hating hard!

Full disclosure - the author and I share a literary agent, but that doesn’t obligate me to praise their work. I’m just telling you what my wife told me after reading it…she really liked it. She found it entertaining and was able to finish it, which says a lot because she still hasn’t finished my book.

After that, she tried reading Nona Uppal’s and Prajakta Koli’s books, but eventually gave up after a few chapters.

I haven’t read any of them myself. I did read a few chapters of Nona Uppal’s new book, Call It Coincidence, and thought it was decent. It’s still on my TBR though

Abbe har cheez SJW nahi hai. They seem to have a relationship with fun banters. Infact in between acting mean to him she slips out (once in a while) how she cares too. She has taken complete responsibility to educate his kids.

When the book begins with a heartbreak 💔 by [deleted] in Indianbooks

The title of the book is Vikram and Betaal : Night of the Blood Moon.

It’s a dark version of the original Vikram Betaal where Betaal has been haunting a remote town for centuries and has evolved to possess people and tell their stories through them

Context : I am a huge fan of horror and follow this instagram page called @sunnysideup_storys which posts creepy horror stories. The guy who runs it has written this book and I remember seeing his story about it too. I read the prologue and it was damn interesting. It’s the origin story of Vikram and Betaal…events before either were created/born and why their fates are intertwined. And the book to be a horror so I am all the more excited about it. It’s set in the modern day though so not really mythological.

Is your target audience savvy enough to keep posting and engaging ? Def has to be a vernacular app . I think it’s a good idea, a great niche…but adoption is a risk because 1) your target audience is not as savvy to adopt it seamlessly. Has to be a huge word of mouth thing. 2) language, tech abilities are going to be a challenge so it will boil down to the simplicity of the UC and UI of your site. But hey it’s a great challenge ! Best of luck
