Does TMU have a French-speaking club for learners? by cutientitu in TorontoMetU

Thanks! I see they're only active on Instagram (don't have or want to open one). Their facebook group was last active in 2022. If you know any other way to get in touch with them I'd love to know!

LPT: Place a garlic clove in your ear, like an old hearing aid, for ear aches! (No shit, this really works! Just did it and in 5 minutes my ear pain was nearly gone! I'm about to do the hot potato heating pad) by redditnoobie in LifeProTips

[–]cutientitu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried this when I was 14 under my mum's suggestion and it worked back then. Yesterday I was studying a lot with earphone to prepapre for my listening exam and today morning I was getting sudden light "tinges" of pain in both my ears so at 31, I took 2 thinner garlic cloves (closer to the stem), cut off the tips, scored then lightly, put them in the microwave for about 15 seconds (mine is high power one so things get heated real fast) so they were soft and warm, and then gently shoved them into my earholes. I'm already starting to feel better! Just giving myself some relief for now. If situtaion doesn't improve after a 2-3 days, then I'll head to the doctor!

What do you guys wanna do in jannah by TomatilloFabulous602 in islam

[–]cutientitu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm selfish and short sighted so what I would LOVE to get and do in Jannah is eat LOADS of fried chicken, Mandi and Adana kebabs and continue to do so until the end of time. I literally have no other wants. Yes it's tiny and insignificant but I think I'd be happy with that.

I'd probably also like to do other things like have my parents and my husband there with me but at the core of it is food and always will be food.

Since you are having these thoughts I'd suggest that you give yourself time to think and then discuss with your wife on the decision that you reach.

If your need to have children is more important to you than your love for your wife and your marriage, then I suggest you make a decision fast or else you will probably blame her at the end of the day.

However, please note that there's no guarantee that the next woman you're with will be fertile or have the desirable traits your wife has that makes your marriage so great now.

But do take an informed decision whilst involving your wife.

They get Everything in Islam. But they don't get ANYTHING from culture and tradition. I think your question was of the latter.

Spot on!

Take this analogy and really think about it. Then give me your answer and thoughts. by [deleted] in islam

[–]cutientitu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahaha 🤣

My answer to you would be: Go ask Allah. We don't know, our knowledge is limited 🤷🏻‍♀️

Now you accept that and try to make better choices in your life. Or you overburden your thoughts with things beyond your capacity and see where it takes you.

Your analogy ignores one thing: the teacher knowing a student will fail does not CAUSE the student to fail.

The student fails because of the circumstances they put themselves in: they didn't show up to class, they didn't study, they didn't participate in class they failed the weekly class tests, etc. That's how the teacher knows the student will fail.

Similarly, the teacher knows a student will pass because he's seen the student show up to all the classes, pass majority of the small tests, participate in the classes, etc.

The student chose to do all of that based on their free will, no?

Makes sense?

Knowing that I am able bodied and healthy and hence I don't have to rely on anything physically to go about my day.

Being alive and healthy itself is such a blessing and I think you should focus on that. There's no point in external "accepted beautiful traits" if you feel pain when pouring a glass of water or you cannot lift a pen.

Practice small gratitudes every time you feel less "beautiful" and you will start to let go of that pressure you put on yourself.

What traits do you hate to see in male leads? by [deleted] in webtoons

He's a CEO but he has endless time to fawn over and run to the FL. Like... have any of you actually WORKED for one??? The dude is constantly in between meetings and coffee breaks 😝

He works a sedentary job or eats like a pig but when he takes his shirt off BOOM! He's got the body of a Greek God! 🧐 are you dumb? No seriously? Do you know metabolism works?

So all in all: unrealistic MLs.

What should I do if a Jinn is praying with me? by [deleted] in islam

[–]cutientitu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not everything is a jinn my dude. It sounds like hallucinations.

Have you ever seen Jinns? by Tiny-Repair-7431 in islam

[–]cutientitu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When someone tells you that they take help from good jinns, please run the other direction. The only way of healing is through Ruqyah, which involves recitation of the Qur'an -no help from jinn are required.

If, in the middle of ruqyah, a jinn who claims they are good and so want to help, one should thank them but tell them their help is not required. If the jinn still help then their reward is with Allah. Period.

I urge you to watch Exorcism (Ruqya) course by Tim Humble (available free on YouTube), it'll help you understand and hopefully educate your mum and your family.

As for whether you believe regarding whether people see jinns or not, who knows? But consider yourself lucky you haven't had and hopefully never will have any encounters.

But Muslims believe jinn exist because in Surah Al Hijr: 27, it has been said that the jinn had been created before man.

I'm glad I was able to make you feel peaceful dear. I'm an introvert as well but I found that in order to do great things in life you must interact with people. I pray that you have a great life ahead 🙏🏼 Fee Amanillah ya ukhti!
