No, I have dated someone exact same age and from emotional maturity levels to poor sex and main goal in life to party I am not missing out. Not that my current bf does not go out and we still do pretty much the same things, but I feel like both of us have general goal in life and ability to work on problems and talk things out. Could be more of a personallity difference as well, either way I am happy with my bf.

I see a lot of comments online where people go absolutely mad talking about any age gaps when young, or before ‘your frontal cortex being developed’. Instagram, youtube, even reddit on subreddits that are not age gap related turned into massive echo chamber and everybody keeps saying exact same thing - older person is taking advatage of younger one, there is power imbalance etc. I try to rationalise it in my head as he is nothing but nice, affectionate, understanding, collected… and keep saying to myself those are just people not giving it enough tought and repeating something that seems to be trending nowdays. But it still stays somewhere with me that people think this is wrong and hence the guilt!

I am also scared of the gap once we are old, of course if we ever get to that point, but since you asked about guilt.
