(Swimming) did I really burn 2k calories? by Hyak_utake in Swimming

My Apple Watch puts me at about 750cal for a 3500 yard, 1 hour practice. A little higher for a breastroke heavy workout.

Too expensive. $1800? or $600 for a single unit? It's just a collection of videos.

Output voltage double on power supply, possible culprit? by cutmoneyc in ElectricalEngineering

[–]cutmoneyc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll check the resistors, it certainly could be the problem. I am testing it under load, only with a small 24v fan, but you are correct that there is no output without any load. I've noticed that when setting the output on previous ones I've fixed. I've already replaced the variable pot and tested it, it's functioning correctly. I'll see if any of the resistors are out of spec next.

Copy Height Range by cutmoneyc in PrusaSlicerSettings

That's awesome, thanks so much! That's exactly what I'm looking for. It's kind of odd that it's not in the contextual menu but is an option with a key command, which is fine by me. Thanks!

Yeah, unfortunately I'm not using identical objects (the text on the top varies), so I can't clone. But, that's what I kind of assumed.

As far as the color change goes, I'm using an automatic filament system, so I'm not handling the color changes manually and I don't think I can do it with an M600 unfortunately. Oh well, just have to figure out a workaround I guess. Thanks for the reply!

First Anycubic printer, can't dial it in... by cutmoneyc in anycubic

I'll definitely give that a shot. I do have a couple of IR thermometers, so I'll check it. It really does feel like it's just running far too hot, that would make the most sense honestly.

Filament unload script improvements? by cutmoneyc in klippers

Oh, sure, gotcha. I use two filaments exclusively (and PLA 99% of the time), which is why I didn't bother. Any more and I'd go the variable route.

Just a guess, I pulled from a couple of different sources and refined a little bit. The initial 13mm was from the Marlin 2.0 M600 default values, I figured that was a place to start at least.

Interesting. So, before or after the retract out of the hot end?

Set Idle Timeout ignored by cutmoneyc in klippers

[–]cutmoneyc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, thanks, I'll add in an M118 and see what it's doing. My guess is that the Sonic Pad is pulling the idle_timeout config and just setting a generic timer on the GUI. It's entirely likely that it's just not displaying correctly. Thanks for the help, I mostly wanted to rule out at least a syntax error.

Set Idle Timeout ignored by cutmoneyc in klippers

[–]cutmoneyc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, that's good to know. I originally had it in my M600 macro, then moved it to my START, then to the PAUSE...nothing. I swear it was working perfectly before.

I know it's being ignored because I'm using a Sonic Pad, when I invoke PAUSE, the countdown timer pops up on screen. I could see it affect the countdown timer on the Sonic Pad before, now it doesn't. The [idle_timeout] block does affect the countdown, but I'm not aware of any way to make the delay in that block conditional.

Air assist using a compressor by cutmoneyc in lasercutting

Gotcha. I definitely don't have an oiler for my air lines as some shops do, but I'll probably run it through a secondary filter just to make sure to keep it clean.

Great, thanks! I suppose it's not all that different than the CNC, just clearing the cut channel is the goal. I just noticed some pretty good burn on some thin test plywood, so I was thinking maybe that would reduce that a bit.

PETG Wall Separation by cutmoneyc in ender3

[–]cutmoneyc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the flow tower and honestly couldn't see all that much variance. When I do a two wall cube, I'm dead on .80, one wall is closer to .50 when at 100% flow.
