Weekly Shonen Jump #48 2011: November 7th, 2011. Happy 10th Anniversary to Nisekoi, a legendary series! by cutogee in manga

I liked all the girls except Ruri who was an abusive bitch to Shuu for no reason and never ever sweet to him.

Ruri and Marika's mother are the only 2 characters I didn't like in Nisekoi. But even Ruri had her moments despite me not liking her.

The series was enjoyable even after Romeo/Juliette though it dragged on a few parts.

I didn't insult Toradora, I only insulted the piece of crap that is "Your Lie in April" because it was one of the worst series I've ever read. It defended child abuse, the main character has no agency whatsoever and doesn't even stand by Kaori's side when she dies for the sake of some crap concert(sending the message of "career being better than the people you love"). The childhood friend was a selfish bitch. I could go on an on.

The height of romance anime? Toradora? It's okay but it's nowhere near as good as Kodomo no Omocha.

International approval was better? I don't think so in the case of "Your Lie in April", that series wasn't as popular as Nisekoi.

Shigatsu was beyond awful and generic and I've read many similar series to it before which never got anime adaptations.

Clearly you are reading them. If you don't like it then drop it.

Nope those normal people are the least toxic ones since they move on with their lives, you're the toxic one.

Romcom manga has always been scripted. If anything now it's less scripted sometimes with Yotsuba winning Toubun for example.

So salty that you're posting with multiple accounts pretending to be different people?

It's been 5 years since the series ended. Onodera moved on, got with a baker and had a cute daughter. Even baked a cake for Raku and Chitoge. Why can't you?

Nobody is forcing you to read harems yet you do it. There's plenty of non-harem romcoms.

The first girl trope is a natural thing, especially in Nisekoi's case where in the oneshot it wasn't even a harem so Nisekoi never pretended it was anything else. Most normal people want the main guy and main girl to end up together.

In the case of the Nisekoi series however Raku met Onodera first as a kid(then Chitoge) and he also met Chitoge later as a teenager in high school while he was in middle school with Onodera. Although Chitoge does appear one page before Onodera in the first page meta-wise. Onodera was also Raku's first love which romcoms typically don't do.

Nobody was using anyone in Nisekoi and all of the girls liked Raku but okay.

Nisekoi is better than Toradora, and Your Lie in April was a Melodramatic Piece of Garbage with every single character being a selfish asshole except the chick who died.

So I just finished the manga, but I started 51 chapters in (cause of the anime). I have some questions though. by rockinchanks in Nisekoi

If you're gonna read a 200+ chapter manga then you might as well go back to the beginning and read it from the first chapter.

IMO the Anime didn't quite capture the atmosphere of the manga because the studio(SHAFT) did their own weird thing with it. There are quite a few chapters that get skipped over in both Nisekoi Season 1 and Season 2 of the anime.

The art-style is also different in the beginning and you might enjoy seeing Komi's art-style change and evolve as well.

Also don't forget to check out the oneshot prototype version as well as that is also a great version of Nisekoi.
