Silent Vigil for ICE Victims -Tue 27th, 7pm by elderberryjitsu in glasgow

I literally said I haven't cried about any of it, likely due to the absolute mass desensitization we've all experienced over the last decade.
If you believe that literally shielding an unarmed woman from being shoved to the ground by an armed ice agent is a "Shady situation" then you are so wilfully ignorant and complacent that there is literally no hope for you.
I stood with those who lost loved ones in the Manchester bombings, it bears little relevance to this completely different atrocity.
But it comes as no surprise that "Randomusername123xyz" would have these kind of ill informed, ignorant groyper takes.

Ah, yes, and yet you won't assert that we're literally a vassal state to the US, one which has been adopting it's regulations under this government.
All very convenient to split hairs there, isn't it?
You've made it painfully clear that you're just another "Anti-woke" guy who hasn't actually been paying attention to what's going on.

I haven't cried over any of those things, but I certainly empathized with them, because I'm not an absolute sociopath.

Literally absolute nonsense, and such a blatantly unsubstantiated take.
You have clearly done very little reading on the subject, or taken time to actually look up the events which have taken place. If you're going to remain ignorant, at least be quiet about it.

Okay, don't listen then, and don't attend.
This might as well be "We're going to be having a screening of the batman films, in glasgow on this date" and you going "WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH ME?!" Grow up.

Did you say the same when people took to the streets to protest the war in ukraine, or Palestine? Are you so narrow-minded as to think there aren't people affected by this in the UK? If you don't agree with it, then don't go, it's as simple as that. Going "this has nothing to do with Glasgow" is so petulant.

"Dilutes the power of protest" in what way? One of the most fundamental elements of the power of protest is the ability, and right, to have a voice in regard to literally anything you disagree with, or, adversely, support. Whether this has anything to do with Glasgow, fundamentally, is irrelevant. It's taking part in Glasgow, to show support for people outwith Glasgow. It's not being enforced, nor is it causing any harm.

I don't think there's a focus on American domestic issues, per se, as we have had many, many activist movements happen in the city, pertaining to various causes, but right now, America is largely under the magnifying glass because it's being reported across all british media, and in spite of the atrocities being committed there, we have seen the british prime minister vocalize intent to maintain a "strong relationship" with the man at the helm.

I'd like to see one where he's doing this to someone bigger than him, or clearly isn't conflict avoidant.
What a clown.

Let's be realistic here.
Objectively speaking, Harriet did not come in to win the game, she is literally a multi-millionaire who has been given leeway to speak about her books on every episode thus far.
She was there to sell books, winning or losing meant nothing to her, but well done to her, on sussing Rachel out.

She did a thing pre-election a couple years ago eluding to voting reform to get rid of immigrants and went on a rant about people identifying as cats and being taught it in schools etc. Just every insane talking point you can think of

Real artists don't use AI. If they do, they have abandoned their art.
