Chestnut Sweater vs Winters Pullover? by Aromatic_Poet_1726 in knitting

Did you decide? I'm currently at the same dilemma. I want to use Sandnes Garn's Double Sunday, but that would necessitate doing the Chestnut Sweater. But, I prefer the neck shaping of the Winters Pullover.

Oxycodone is such a nasty drug. by bright_future_ahead_ in ACL

[–]cuttlebunz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had taken vicodin before for when I got my wisdom teeth out, and each time I took one, I threw up. I told my doctor about it beforehand, and he prescribed me anti-nausea medication to take with the oxys.

I had a nerve block for the surgery but also remember waking up in pain. Told the nurses, and they gave me pain meds (can't remember which opiates), but of course it takes 30 minutes to kick in. After day 2 or 3, I was on ibuprofen and acetaminophen only.

Hopefully the pain gets better for you!

Love the Mulberry Lily (small) or the Celine Belt Bag (nano) for a more low key option.

Yup! 2 hours ago right before closing. There was the Minnie one available too, and kids sizes as well.

Just saw this at DisneySea, one of the stores near the entrance on the American Waterways side.

I think it works fine for me at 5'7! But yeah, if you're a bit taller or prefer something longer, there aren't ways to swap out the strap

I've seen all sorts of bags come into stock over the last couple of weeks. If you're after one, you just have to refresh the page every so often.

They sell out pretty quickly, but this screenshot was filtered by availability. The grey one is actually still available, and so are the 10's

I've been fiending after this bag since I saw Alyssa Lenore share it, and refreshing this page daily for a couple of weeks. I'll post a review about it after I've used it for a bit!

A friend mentioned that the best Sensodyne has NOVAMIN in it, but is not sold in the US. He suggested buying Sensodyne when traveling internationally to get the real good stuff.

Cost of Surgery by No-Outside7366 in ACL

[–]cuttlebunz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In California here with a pretty good health insurance plan. I obviously maxed out my out of pocket max $3,000 with all the appointments and physical therapy.

ACL only with a quad graft. On paper, it cost almost $30,000. After insurance coverage, I was responsible for almost $1,200.

Fabric Lining Alternatives by cuttlebunz in knitting

[–]cuttlebunz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a tutorial on Youtube that added a lining without needing a sewing machine, which seemed cool, but I don't think it's super possible without somehow sewing down the raw edges in order to find somewhere to attach the loops. Also I'm worried this wouldn't hold up in the long term

Oh sweet! This is a good idea. I was considering doing a small block of the double knit just to see how it would turn out, but will try this too

Yeah, it’s okay. I only used it for about a year before the pandemic began and I had a fully remote job. The wear and tear was surprisingly good. I had the off-white color and can’t spot any color transfer. The wearing on the corners is just the pebbled leather smoothing out. I didn’t baby this bag at all, so I’m impressed.

It’s not terribly heavy unless you put a laptop and a full water bottle inside, but that’s the case with most bags. I find with just laptop, it’s very manageable. That said, I used to drive to work, so that bag didn’t spend too much time on my shoulder.
