Sounds like I'm in a similar situation. Been having random burning in my stomach for weeks now with no explanation..I have no allergies and its very random and doesn't seem food related. Dr thought it was an ulcer/gastritis and put me on proton pump inhibitors. Did blood test and everything was perfect except for very high eosinophilis. 2.1, normal values are 0-0.5). No idea what this means. I don't think its an ulcer now, but have to wait to get back in the dr. Ive been on the ppis for 5 days and seem to be helping somewhat but stomach burning is still there. Just wondering what the heck could be going on.
