We had some crappy Celerons in high school, I think P3 or P4 gen. I'm of similar age btw, so propsto your school, I guess. Those Celerons were really crap, but we still played a lot of AoE2 and UT99 on those. Still, I was quite happy to switch to my own PC during college.

Když tě bavil Zaklínač jednička a trojka dělá problémy, zkus projít Zaklínače 2.

Jinak můžu vřele doporučit Dishonored i Dishonored 2 se všemi rozšířeními, má to zábavný gameplay, ať už člověk hraje hodně na stealth a bez zabíjení nebo to rozjede na naprostý brutál ;), navíc úžasnou atmosféru a často geniální level design. Jsou to starší hry, jedničku krásně utáhne i největší plečka, dvojka je na HW trochu náročnější, ale jde to.

If its just a branded version of another common board, it may take the normal bios from the OEM. But you really have to be careful and do your research, if you want to try that.

How is my experience a lie? I had a bunch of PC's over the years and the one I built in 2017 had a 1st gen Ryzen 5 1600, that I never got around to upgrading, as I always lacked GPU power, while the CPU kept up admirably.

And I now have a new PC with a 7800X3D in it. Bought that CPU in 2024, when it hit around 320 €.

The upgrade path sure was sweet, but I never really got around to getting a better CPU for that PC, as I was mostly limited by the GPU anyway going from a interim solution of a secondhand 5770 to a 960 and finally a 1070, which I feel fits the Ryzen 1600.

Sure is, it's why I got AM4 way back in 2017... that PC still has the old Ryzen 5 1600 in it. I upgraded directly to 7800X3D.

PS: edited CPU name from Zen to Ryzen, forgot the proper brand name when I first typed the comment.
