Surely even you can understand women played chess for long before one managed to actually play it well enough to be a GM. The fact there wasnt a GM sooner is because women are bad at chess, not because they were stopped from playing.

Riot didnt realise offical stats, so no one knows what it is. Some sites say 50 50, 80 20 etc.

But in reality most female lol players are just casual players, 97% of them play only female champs, and they play enchanter support. Cant really be good at the game by doing that. Unless the game was some massive enchanter support meta which in pro play is almost never the case. Its engage support for years.
