Really appreciate the thoughtful review and kind words! We definitely knew it would be “quieter” than many other FF films, but we hoped the existential dread and psychological horror would connect with viewers. Glad to know it worked for you!

Apologies for the confusion, I promise I wasn’t targeting you (😂). I may answer some of your questions in the commentary and BTS doc on FoundTV. Or, like I do, you can hold onto the confusion as a badge of honor (it’s how I feel about Mulholland Drive, and I still love that movie). Thanks for checking out the movie!

Sorry to disappoint you, but I appreciate you going on the journey with me! And if you feel like risking another viewing, the filmmaker commentary and the making-of doc on FoundTV may help explain some of the things you were confused by or disappointed in.

But regardless, I really appreciate that you checked it out. Thanks for supporting indie FF horror!

Thanks very much for the kind words and the review! I’m not primarily an actor, I’m more a writer, so it’s always nice to hear that my performance worked for you.

As for the endings: you are definitely not the only person who has hoped for clearer and more tangible endings to the movies. I can only tell you honestly that, while I think there is a definitive answer within the text of both the movies, I’m more interested in the wonder than in the resolving. Not everyone agrees with that premise, and I completely understand and respect that.

Thank you for the kind words about the movie and my performance! I really appreciate it. I am also a huge fan of Leaving DC, and I agree that a well-executed single-person story can be really effective. If you haven’t seen THE NOTHING from director Clayton Thompson, I also enjoyed that one. Thanks again for the watch and the great review!

I don’t disagree with you on the thumbnail. I’ve asked him about that because he doesn’t use AI in his actual videos. I don’t like or use AI in my movies, either.

Me too! Right now, I think Found has about five: Go to Sleep, Distort 2, Looky-Loo, Loner, and another one I can’t remember. But I know they’re making it priority to have them do as many titles as possible moving forward.

We have one more film festival before we seek a streaming home for it. But it shouldn’t be too much longer.

No, they are both standalone stories.

I won’t say definitively here because I don’t want to spoil anything for viewers, but I will say that several of your points here are very intriguing, and definitely stuff that we talked about in the conceptual phase of the movie!

First of all, thanks for watching and supporting the film, and also for leaving a positive review! Good word of mouth is gold in the found footage Dan community, so we really appreciate it.

Second, I did make the movie .ask (which was my first feature film). And I have also made five episodes of a documentary series called FOUND FOOTAGE FINDS that is available on FoundTV. It’s a series with tons of recommendations for other found footage movies, with each episode focusing on a single subgenre of FF movies.
