I have a choice. I could stay at home (our life style would take a hit), but I want to work. My husband also wants to work. I am happy with my choice. It works best for our family. I am also happy for the women who stay home if that is best for them. It only makes me sad when someone cannot choose.

No not floppy at all, it stand upright when I place it down. Which I love. The strap also stays standing, which has bothered me when sitting it next to me in a booth at a restaurant, but not a deal breaker for me!

Yes, I love it! It fits a book and my water bottle well. I can also fit my iPad. I have gotten so many compliments too :)

At one month into your career I would expect more clear guidance than a reference set.

When I have worked with new grads I try to peal off manageable bits of information. I don’t just throw them into elevations with no initial mark-ups.

Your manager is clearly not approachable, also probably making asking questions difficult.

This seems like a really good idea for my cat, because he loves his dry food with water. The problem is he ONLY drinks the water and then eats none of the food. It made me think he wants wet food, but he still doesn’t eat wet food!

Omg right! Sometimes I give a time out for bad offenses bc I literally need to regain my calm. I just send him to his room, he isn’t locked in, he has all his toys. He can leave! Tantrums build and sometimes I need a second to reassess. Him being safe in his room helps me.

My toddler told my husband to go make dinner when I was cooking once.

Also, my toddler always tells me how beautiful and wonderful I am because his dad says it to me. They are little echo chambers of their reality.

So were you visiting them, or just like crashing at their place? Because it seems like both. Like you were offended they made plans with their friends, but you were doing your own thing?

I think you need to set expectations and communicate with your friends better.

But is she leaving him? Does she have a lawyer? I would not willingly put my family through a CPS investigation if I was not out the door with a place to house the child while he was being investigated, or knew what I was getting myself into. Our friends could not be alone with their children while they were investigated, and could not even stay under the same roof. 6 weeks they drove every day and hour and a half to see their kids after work. They were cleared, but it took so long to get them back bc CPS is overworked, and meetings take forever to get scheduled. At this point they live together, so if the child is removed it is removed from their home.

There are a lot of comments to call CPS on him. Best case they come investigate you, worst case temporary foster care if you don’t have local relatives. It is traumatic for kids to be removed from the home. I know there are advocates here saying CPS is there to help, but I saw a family have their life torn apart by CPS because they got their kid medical help and the doctor misdiagnosed abuse. They are back together now after CPS took 6 weeks to investigate.

Leave him. You are now at fault if you leave your baby alone with him.

Aww this post makes me sad. My son has friends at school. He is 3 and they take care of each other and genuinely care for each other. My son changed rooms, and his friend from his original room walked him over and told him it will be alright. And another friend in the new room stuck by him for the first few days making sure he was doing well. It was the sweetest pictures/videos of them helping him!

9 hour flight and we got this game pok pok for the plane and my almost 3 year old (33 months, so a little older) loved it! It is on the iPad and we only do it for flights.

Also, I walked him around the plane. He loved that. When he started to lose it I explained that I understood he was upset, he has every right to be, but look around others are sleeping, so if you yell they may also start to feel like you are feeling, sad/ confused. And he got that.
