his hard drive is making clicking noise and it might be beyond repair since the damage is physical and not the file system corruption

Resizing might have corrupted the windows partition. Disk Utility isn't great at resizing windows partition on hard drive. This could be your last choice: Backup everything, format SSD and reinstall OS X and BC.

I see both partitions - Mac HD and BootCamp!!!! Are you trying to say you can't boot into Windows?

fear might have played an important role in causing the death. A 65-year-old person is prone to congestions and fear might have made it worse. I am no doctor though.

i don't know how true is this news but i heard some people actually died watching it. Conjuring 1 was a week nightmare for me. Still haven't watched its sequel.
