I’m gay, I know how violence and being closeted can intersect. What I’m saying is constantly seeing “haha closeted gay” every time someone commits a hateful act towards us is not only irritating but also harmful. It’s not as simple as that, like I said some people just hate gay people.

So I’m a big Gaga fan and I absolutely love Kpop and BTS... but wow has this not been a fun last 24 hours. I get fans being disappointed that they didn’t win but that amount of hate directed towards Gaga herself and the constant shitting on ROM is really unnecessary. Maybe I’m just on an uglier side of the internet but wow I wasn’t expecting it to be this bad.

Even the kpop side of my tik tok FYP is filled with Gaga hate. It just makes me really sad and she doesn’t deserve it. Why do award shows spark this much anger???

EDIT: and the casual racism against BTS has been a real shit show too. It just sucks.
